Hello All !!!

I think the DDs in foreign currency are valid for six months by default. No need to worry. 3 months validity is for domestic instruments.

However, I have a concern of my own. On my DD it says pay to: 'Receiver General For Canada' instead of as specified on the payment form : 'THE RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA' is that an issue. Please comment, kinda freaking out.

As this forum moves through the phases so will the blog, currently it is in majority application stage, then it will morph to medicals, interviews, PCC and then finally on to Passports and landing and as such I will post relevant articles (and request other members to do the same)

What is the UCI number? how do you get it

Can we check some status online about the application?

Can CC charge be the ONLY way to find out about your application?

Lets assume the CC is charged on X day, then can we see some status online somewhere on that X day?

When it comes to UCI .. it is only used for ECAS. So if you just read the ECAS article then I am sure your question will be answered

FSW 2014 is currently open. If you fall into one of the 50 eligible NOCs - you're good to go.

FSW is still open !!!! for 2014 .. jump in an make your app .. hopefully you are in one of the less crowded NOC, because unless your ECA and IELTS are ready or will be soon you probably will not be able to submit before end of September or something !!
