Re: DD is valid only for 3 months in all banks of india as per RBI rule

Hello All !!!

I think the DDs in foreign currency are valid for six months by default. No need to worry. 3 months validity is for domestic instruments.

However, I have a concern of my own. On my DD it says pay to: 'Receiver General For Canada' instead of as specified on the payment form : 'THE RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA' is that an issue. Please comment, kinda freaking out.
Cheers!!!

You are a sport :) good to see your positive attitude.

I greatly value any feedback and most importantly try to not spread misinformation.

The FSW Blog is for the forum members by the forum members !!

If anyone has any information that they can share , tips , pointers , how-to's , latest news etc .. I would love to post it on your behalf or give you an account to do so yourself.

If you remember there was a FSW2013 faq blog (you find it in peoples signature). I have simply taken that (all credit to the person who made that), and built on top of it additional things.

As this forum moves through the phases so will the blog, currently it is in majority application stage, then it will morph to medicals, interviews, PCC and then finally on to Passports and landing and as such I will post relevant articles :) (and request other members to do the same)

If you would like you may include it in your signature. Thanks

I also have similar questions sir, My application should be received by tomorrow to CIO Sydney.

My primary NOC code is 1113, how to check the status

What is the UCI number? how do you get it

Can we check some status online about the application?

Can CC charge be the ONLY way to find out about your application?

Lets assume the CC is charged on X day, then can we see some status online somewhere on that X day?

Tooo much curiosity here

:) :) :)

Cheers!

Ashesh mate ... the two links below should answer all of above.

[What is meant by previous UCI. How present status can be check on previous UCI. How to get new UCI. ]

When it comes to UCI .. it is only used for ECAS. So if you just read the ECAS article then I am sure your question will be answered :)

The reason I keep mentioning the link and the main reason for the blog is to stop repeating the same things again an again. So rather a simple link and short answer :)

Does anyone have any idea in how much time can we expect AOR from NDVO? I got my PER 2 months back on 3rd June and havent heard anything after that from NDVO.

This wait is really killing......

We are in the same boat...... i wish they start soon..

newbie here...please extend patience.

I know that the skilled worker application's deadline was last July.

Do I wait for January 2015 before I can fill up the online application form or do I go ahead and fill up one?

FSW 2014 is currently open. If you fall into one of the 50 eligible NOCs - you're good to go.

What ?? Where ?? How ?? When ?? :-X :-X

FSW is still open !!!! for 2014 .. jump in an make your app .. hopefully you are in one of the less crowded NOC, because unless your ECA and IELTS are ready or will be soon you probably will not be able to submit before end of September or something !!
