Just want to check, if file rejected after payment being charged. Will the amount of CAD 1100 (two applicants) will be refunded or not.

Heard somewhere it will not be refunded.

I think that you are wrong about mother's last name.
If the form says family name at birth it is, obvioustly, the family name of her father (or mother) which was given to her when she was born and not her husband's family name which she accepted when she got married (and which stands in her ID).

I need to get my CNIC English translation. Any member from Lahore, Pakistan who has already gone through the process.

I need to know what are the requirements. Normally, notarry public attests it (sign and stamp). However, I am confused what about the translator details...normally translator details are not available

I translated the NIC copies by myself . Then went to Cantt katcheri. There are couple of shops at the opposite end of the main entrance of katcheri main gate (behind the pan shops).

I made the affidavit by myself and they just printed that affidavit on plain A4 paper.

Sample affidavit as below:

I, <name of the lawyer who is attesting> , at <company name I. e district court> have done the translation of following document.

Document name: eg NIC copy (XYZ)
Original letter language:

This translation is done as per request of Mr XYZas per requirement for Canadian immigration.

This is to certify that this is a true and correct English translation of the original document.

Thats correct u heard after payment being charged if ur file get reject at second stage u won't get ur fee back.
not even ur file will be returned

I can see in the spreadsheet that your file has been transferred to London Visa Office.
How did you know the date of transfer? Did you get an email (AOR) from LVO or you got a 2nd line in ECAS showing that? What I know is that 2nd line in ECAS appears only when PROCESSING in STARTED (like member ferry1978).

After you have your file number.. and the status shows in Process what is next to expect ?
Do you get a written communication from them that have started processing your file or just directly the Medical request ?

Yes agreed that if you loose your medicals or your police varification (Not provided earlier) fails, then there are chances that the application may be rejected. But apart from that what all can be the scenarios for your application to be rejected?

I went to NADRA Executive paid their fees of I think 4000 and got my NICOP made which is in English and useful everywhere. I just photocopy my ID card for everywhere. For NICOP you just need a valid visa for any country.

A question about Form IMM 5406 Additional family information
I understand both my spouse and me have to complete the form.
So will I be the APPLICANT in both sets of forms
or I will be the APPLICANT in one set and my spouse will be the APPLICANT in other set.
It is quite confusing.

I wasn't sure about that, too, so both my husband and I signed his sheet.

Completeness Check -> Charging -> Elgibility Review -> File Transfer -> Further Review (Background etc) -> Medicals -> Passport -> Visa -> Landing

You can be rejected in all that is red as far as I know....

About refunds as per my research .. you should be able to get refund as long as your application is not in processing. The exact definition of In process is unclear to me.. may be forum member can highlight from experience.

Funny enough,I have always been strengthened that I have you as my famous FSW2013 stream colleague without any significant update....but seems I'M ALL ALONE NOW.
I need a back-up plan too since Accra visa office is still hibernating until God knows when....

i was filling this form and observed that when i fill the box in which i have to mention the expiry date of the card..like the expiry month is JAN..when i enter 01 ..it only takes 1 and left the other box blank...is it fine..or i should write 01 with a pen.

I have seen someone in the forum posted that there is a new payment form available and it is taking "02" instead "2". So please check whether you are using new form available in CIC or not.
