    July 2020 - Citizenship application

You can certainly call. But just to save you some time, here is the response you will get: "Sorry, covid problems. But we are working very hard, and things are moving long. Just look at the current tracker. See how everything is "in progress" since 23 April? So just be patient."

    July 2020 - Citizenship application

I have a question about your interpretation. You are assuming that "family" means both the parents and the child, not just the case of the child and the parent with whose application the child was included. So, in this case of @Vigilant, you take "family" to mean all three, even though the...

    July 2020 - Citizenship application

Best to ask the people you talk to at CIC. Point out to them that you filed a single application, with no other person linked to it. Demand to know how and why others came to be attached. Etc. All you will get hear is probably random guesswork.

Indeed. In fact what one commentator suggests IRCC might be doing is legally questionable, i.e., that IRCC can take a single application and arbitrarily decided to add people to it (even if there are relationships).

    April 2019 applications

"Final decision" means that everything has been considered and a final determination has been reached regarding your application. That is, there are no other matters to be considered with regard to the decision. Final. I hope that finally clears it up for you.

    October 2019 - Citizenship Applicants

I found what I was thinking of. If you look through the guide for citizenship application, you will find this: To be valid, the police certificate must be either issued after the last time you were in that country, or no more than 6 months before the date you sign your citizenship...

Just check at the end of the day. That way it doesn't matter whether they happen throughout the day or only in the morning.

Background check status change from completed to in progress

Except that up there, in the first version of the story, the guy says "I received FR request back in September 2019".

    Citizenship Background In Progress

You seem to be just making up stuff, and some of it---e.g., "it will be even more delayed because Canada then has to get the security clearance through private agencies"---is simply laughable.

Has anyone received help from their MP in getting IRCC to do their jobs?

Wow. Do you by any chance have a shorter version for those of us who have to get back to work?

" I acknowledged taking so many words to explain something rather simple. " No shit. :-)

And it does not matter . . . but that is only once the applicant has met the burden of proving that they were in fact physically present in Canada at least 1095 days within the five year eligibility period. Correct. And such a long message to say just that? :)

2020 applicants with Background verification- In Progress

Yep. On that date, after nothing happening for almost 1.5 years, suddenly (and due to IRCC's extraordinarily hard work) nearly everything went to "in progress".

Has anyone received help from their MP in getting IRCC to do their jobs?

The online tracker is not very useful. When it was initialized they put everything (other than "test" and "oath") to "in progress". in fact GCMS notes will show that some "in progress" things have actually not been started. The GCMS notes will also tell you if indeed your case is "test ready".

Will my current Indian PCC work for Citizenship Application?

It appears that there is no reason for you to submit the PCC then.

Will my current Indian PCC work for Citizenship Application?

" FOR IMMIGRATION PURPOSES OTHER THAN CITIZENSHIP" That seems clear enough. Why would IRCC accept for citizenship an official document that states it cannot be used for citizenship?
