During the fingerprinting process, will the background and other stages progress independently of the process, or will the others be taken into consideration after the fingerprinting process is completed?
Background will not progress until FP is completed. Rest can be started and completed depending upon officers.

Hi @Taimoor962,

I have seen similar posts on FB citizenship group. So far 2 individuals have got the same update asking them to redo the test. The email also specified that the first attempt will not be counted towards the 3 attempts given. They will still have their 3 attempts.

I believe this not just happened to you there would be many others. What date was your test?

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding about the proof of language requirements.

I never completed my Ontario High School Diploma. But currently, I'm a second-year university student here in Canada. I'm going to use my current transcript to submit as the language poor. I haven't finished my program yet, but is my current transcript valid for the language proof?

I found this under IRCC websitt, from my understanding, my current transcript would be validated.

"You attended or are currently attending a secondary or post-secondary education program in English or French, either in Canada or abroad, including:

  • A degree, diploma, certificate or official transcript, etc..."
Thank you so much for your help!!!

Is the e-certificate usually emailed on the same day as the oath? Also, can we apply for India citizenship surrender certificate at the same time as applying for Canadian passport? or do we need to wait for Canadian passport to arrive?

You would need to sign up for portal to download the citizenship certificate, the details would have been emailed in the instructions. You need Canadian passport to apply for surrender certificate.

ok :( Thank you. I haven't received that email to create a portal and download e-certificate yet. The oath invitiation says they ll confirm my choice of e-certificate or paper certificate in the ceremony. That email for downloading e-certificate probably comes after the oath
