does anyone know if im able to visit my husband in egypt while the application is being processed?
if you're the sponsor, and a canadian citizen, you can travel. But you might want to make sure someone is watching the mail for you, to avoid delays if your visa office sends you any requests for more information.kelsey199200 said:does anyone know if im able to visit my husband in egypt while the application is being processed?
not in the least. applying for refugee status is completely different than applying for family-class PR. I don't think that the number of applicants really noticeably or measurably slows down processing for anyone else. You could argue that with so many immigrants applying to come to Canada, processing times are slower, but sponsorships are being approved at CPC-M in 30 days, and there's no way to compare, on a case-by-case basis processing time at outside visa offices -- every case is different. And the vast majority of people on this site are approved well within the timelines as stated on the CIC website.Hycore said:Hey guys,
Do any of you think that those new "refugees" in B.C. are going to slow down our sponsorship applications, well those of us who have not been processed yet?
I'm just curious about what you all think.

That is how I accessed it. I did capitalize it, I think it was picky. Using my sponsors information in the bottom.waitingintz said:I don't expect that I would be able to access ECAS yet but just to make sure I'm doing it right: I don't have a case number yet, just the online payment reciept (Rxxxxxxxxx)... so I can enter that right? And does the R need to be capitalized or anything picky like that?
I just copy and pasted from my receipt that was saved to my desktop on the computer, so yes, the R was capitalized. Not sure if it needs to be, but in my case, it was.waitingintz said:I don't expect that I would be able to access ECAS yet but just to make sure I'm doing it right: I don't have a case number yet, just the online payment reciept (Rxxxxxxxxx)... so I can enter that right? you are correct. The AOR will come with a sheet of barcode stickers and you'll have a B-number for all correspondence through Buffalo.silverbee said:I thought "AOR" was the letter Buffalo sends you when they receive your application.
Congrats!!! Here's hoping that I hear in the next week, then, since my application was received the week after yours!! Man, I wish they'd update the CPC-M processing times....can_usa_97 said:I got my DECISION MADE letter in the mail today. Hubby was approved (of course) and the application was forwarded to Buffalo.
I made Sponsorship approval & Transfer combined.
Perhaps. Hmm.plumosa said:you are correct. The AOR will come with a sheet of barcode stickers and you'll have a B-number for all correspondence through Buffalo.
