My passport came! Six weeks late but it came! And I landed!

actually, nyc consulate wrote back that they WOULD accept a replacement passport. So if your passport gets lost before you land, it is not the end of the world.

My passport arrived - finally! I thought it had been lost in the mail (it took a trip through a wrong continent by mistake) so I was extremely happy to see it in the mail today. Landing very soon!

My passport came in the mail!! It was sent to the wrong country by the mail (for no apparent reason)... but it made its way to me in the end.

Oh, I forgot to mention... I had them send it regular, regular mail back - no tracking method possible unless you have a corporate prepaid account, and I thought, how often do things get lost in the mail, right?

So it looks like my passport was stamped at the NYC Consulate and sent back to me in the beginning of December via regular mail.... I'm getting worried that it got lost in transit!

I think that my passport may have been lost on its way to the NYC Consulate! And now the 60 days to send it in is running out in a week...

Does anyone know about Landing in Toronto? Such as , where and how long the wait is?

grrrrrr Just spoke to CanadaPost and they said that my passport was never signed for in New York, so it may or may not have been delivered. I am emailing the New York Consulate to see if they even received my passport... SO I guess I am not traveling anywhere for the holidays.

If anyone has sent their passport to the NYC Consulate, how long did it take to get it back? I am really, really hoping to have mine back before the holidays (they got it there December 1st).

I finally mailed off my passport to NYC last week! I asked them to return it before the holidays so I could travel... here's hoping!

They do not - unless your medical expires the next day or something like that. But the official answer is that they do not, and you must mail it in and wait about a month.

I'm going to send off my passport to NYC today!!!! I'm thinking of just skipping the pre-paid envelope business and just have them send it back via regular mail (after sending it there with a trackable method). The letter I got said something about having to have a corporate account with FedEx...

I'm sorry... I was envious of everyone who got their visas while I waited but the process does end. One advise I can give is that it is not worth checking Ecas at all. My Ecas has still not been updated. So just check your email and mailbox and stay busy. good luck!
