Hi friends,
Question lang,can i forward additional documents(proof) to cic even though it wasn't requested?
I have included the stamps on our passports as proof of our travels outside the country but the front page of the passport i included was my husband's new passport so the pages with stamps and the front page doesn't match.
Has anyone here tried sending documents proactively?

Yes, any important changes need to be reported,
you can send it to Manila, You can scan the documents and sent,
using the Case Specific Enquire, Manila.

Hey all... Just an inquiry here: I got my automated reply from the CIC On april 3, 2015. They received my application on 2/12/2015. I have a UCI and App. No from the email.

Is this thing seriously going to take 17 MONTHS for them to process it on stage 2 manila side? I fear for my marriage, how are we suppose to wait that long? December 2016 if I calculate correctly? and this assuming the package is all correct too?

Wasn't this only 2-4 months a couple years ago??

Every file is different, some files move faster and some others slower,
We have been waiting for 15 months now, I guess we had bad luck...
Re-meds were done last month, and just waiting now for DM... maybe
DM will come by month 17, It has been very hard wait.
I have seen many other applicants getting their files finalized in this waiting.

I hope you received my voicemail. I spoke with CIC regarding your sponsorship and they indicated that the medicals are passed and good until 24 March 2016. On 31 March 2015 they received a number a documents pertaining to this case including the passport, photos, Right of PR fees, police report, schedule A, additional family information, and proof of medical compliance. Additionally, they received email correspondence on 02 April 2015. The bring forward date on the file is 03 May 2015, so if you are looking for another update, you may want to wait until after that date. The criminality and security checks have not yet begun to be processed on this application. Additionally, the standard processing time in Manila is 17 months for this application type. Manila received the file on 06 May 2014 so 17 months would take you to 06 Oct 2015.


- the email correspondence i sent was just to make a follow up. would that mean if you make a follow up. they extend it more? are they nuts?
also another concern, how does the processing time being measured? is it from the time CICi Mississauga received it or CIC manila? because we sent ours January 29, 2014 and CICI Mississauga received it Feb 3, 2014

Wow... that's heart breaking.... feeling that you are almost there and getting that answer....
in the bright side, you can lower your expectations now.... your file probably will go through
the summer... and as they said... your file may be completed by October...
But they are mean when they suggest that you are good to March 24 2016...
In any case, I don't expect your file to go that far... most likely that by the end of the summer.

It looks like every visa office calculate the waiting period in different way,
but it should be since CIC receives your application
How are processing times calculated?

Well thanks for the replies everyone: the meds was the only part of the application we didn't do because I figured it would of expired by time they got to it haha.. looks like I was right. Well I think I will look for a Job somewhere overseas so we can be together while we wait for this process: 17 months is crazy long!

The process may not take 17months, There is always a possibility that it can be quicker.

I'm so happy for you,but very jealous as well.because my husband would have to change his ticket if we won't get visa today..so possibly,we won't celebrate our wedding anniversary together by April 21. :'(
