Does the COPR come in regular mail (US) or Fed-ex and the like?
Unless you provided an express mail return envelope, it will normally be returned via first class mail.

[/quote]hi computer Geek & Leon!...Last Sept. 5, 2012, I received an email from the embasy in Manila and they require me to comply within it w/in 45 days upon receipt of the email. The Visa Officer instructed me to sign the DECLARATION STATEMENT and return it right away for my completion if I will not include anymore my son in the Family Class application. In other words, I did not include anymore my son in my application because he is not available for medical(my ex-partner) will not allow him. So, I signed the declaration on sept. 6 and send it back to the embassy. My medical expires already last sept. 5, 2011 but they did not ask me for the re-med. This comung Nov. 4, 2012 is my 12 mos. since the CIC-Miss. Rcvd my docs. Any idea on my case?...until now my ecas status is "In Process"... Any idea about my case?.. Thank you for your prompt reply.

Good day, forumers. I ordered my GCMS notes recently, and in a note from my last application review it is mentioned that 'file to PB for review'. What does PB stand for and how long does it take PB to push the file to the next step?

Hi Leon and All Senior Members of the Forum,
I remember reading this and thinking that it shouldn't matter - only the legality of the marriage matters. The other things you mention go to legitimacy, not legality, so they are useful for establishing how you are handling the different cultural and religions between you two. If anything, they argue against having an MOC.

Good luck!

All Senior Members. Need your valuable help

I am PR holder and want to sponsor my husband. I am a Roman Catholic (from India) and my husband is Hindu (Indian) hence our marriage is a interfaith marriage (love cum arranged marriage).

We got married by civil or court marriage before the Marriage officer/registrar of the district under the Special Marriage Act, 1954 in India, thereafter we did Hindu traditional marriage and Church marriage (to respect both the faiths) and a common reception in Catholic style. The court marriage, Hindu marriage, Church marriage and the reception, all happened on the same day.

1. In Question 15 of Form 5490 (Sponsered Person Questionaire), they have asked to specify the rite (religion) in which the marriage took place. What should I fill in there? Should I mention civil, Hindu and Catholic Church wedding.

I'd say all three if you can.

2. Will it create a problem if I show both traditional marriage (Hindu and Catholic) along with the Civil marriage in my application. I have photos of all the ceremonies.

I don't think it would. It would show that you two don't really care that one is a different religion and that you both respect each other's religion :)

3. Will the Visa Officer raise a concern that we got married in Church (as church does not allow other religious marriage) and we even did tradition Hindu marriage without me nor my husband getting converted.

Not very likely. A lot of people nowadays do this and get married interfaith-wise.

4. Or is it true that the New Delhi Visa Officer is not concerned as to which marriage tradition you have followed to get married until you have provided them with our Marriage Certificate issued by the Registrar of Marriage under Special Marriage Act,1954 and other supporting documents to prove our marriage is genuine ?

They DO need a marriage certificate, no matter how you got married. This basically proves that you are LEGALLY married and didn't just have some random guy on the street say Hey, you're married!

Please help with your suggestions as I am really worried about it and want to start my sponsorship application soon

My marriage was also an interfaith. With the ceremony being Islamic and the the reception being "north american". We also had photos of both and just explained it out in writing with our application.

No. The termination date of your work permit is a condition of the work permit itself and thus is not covered under implied status. If you wish to keep working, you must either go for an inland sponsorship (open work permit at AIP, or about six months) or you may find an employer willing to sponsor you (e.g., obtain an LMO for the position).

I'm sorry your ex-partner dislikes your son so much - it is always sad when a child is forced to live with a parent that would treat them with such callous disregard. After all, refusing to allow your son to be examined only hurts your son, it doesn't hurt you.

The visa office will either ask to have your medicals extended, or they will ask you to have a medical examination again. You are coming up on two months since you executed the declaration, so I would expect the visa office will be reviewing your file again in the next months, at which point you should hear further on the status of your file, although if they decide to extend your medicals, they won't advise you of that fact.

So I would expect you will either get a re-medical request or a PPR request.

so I reside in Canada and wish to keep working while my sponsor application is being processed. What are the ways in which I can do this? I was originally here on an IEC visa and have applied for another one of these. If I apply now for the sponsor PR, will this cancel my IEC application?
