sh52 and adilsulaiman.. u people have filed your cases in 2014..many of us have filed application in 1st 6 months of 2013 ,but still didn't receive remedial request yet..waiting and waiting.my husband filed my application in april 2013 ,,received to CIC on 8th april 2013..and MP contacting islamabad and saying application is moving fine,,just wait ,,still 1 year remaining for average time of 33 months to complete.. :'(

I've got PPR on 13th Jan and submitted to CHC Islamabad very next day. Now waiting for my passport from High Commission Islamabad.

Sounds like your file is still in Islamabad. So the 33 months processing period is normal for you unforunately. Our files got transferred to London directly.

Why are some people files still in Islamabad. Are the new applications are directly going to London and old files are being processed in Islamabad

mostly spouse cases with dependent(kids) are being processed in islmbd but no one is for sure y they are transfered to london

people getting their PPR request in Jan are still waiting for the passport return from Islamabad.

you are past your processing time in london, so whats the hold up for you, London process time is 11 months and you have 13 months why its like that?

Dear All,

I shall be landing for first time in Canada this July. I am planning to get married in Pakistan after getting PR card. I have a few questions, i would really appreciate your answers.
1- How long is the expected time to sponsor your spouse?
2- Will the nikah serve the purpose of sponsorship or rukhsati will also be required?
3- I need to go back to Canada to sponsor her, will it be possible for me to come back to Pakistan after filing the sponsorship case(for lets say 6 months or for one year) or do I have to stay in Canada till the process is complete.
4- What documents are required to show as proof of marriage.
5- Any other thing that i should take care of?

Any suggestions are welcome on how to make this process quick and smooth.

1- All the new files are going to london and they have processing time of 11 months so approx 1 year
2- Nikah and Rukhsati are both required (make sure have all photos of rukhsati, nikah and nikah certificate) and marrige pics
3- I dont recomened it because you will be new to Canada, but as a PR I think you can go back for 6 months not 1 year
4- Call records, pics, nikah certificate, emails, chat logs, if you send money the reciepts are required, Cards, wedding inviation cards etc. Anything that proves your relationship is real
5- don't lie about anything in the forms. Fill your forms to best of your ability and the truth.

Get medical done, police certificate, passport certified copies, proof of your realtionship, marrige certificate, birth certificate, bay form etc.

There is a checklist of all documents in canada immigration website. HOPE this helps you

No thats not true,as I don't have any kid yet but still my application is in Islamabad..
