I've applied for my wife's family sponsorship case and it's currently in process in London visa office, she had a 10 year multiple visit visa from the US and since her father works in the airlines she use to get free tickets to travel but I've already send all the travel history to the officer since she had frequent trips to the US but trip was never stayed for full 6 months or more then 6 months as I just cross checked her passports and it says 5 months and 12 days was the max trip. I'll share the question with you below please read and suggest if I should still send the clearernce to them since question says 6 months or more then 6 months.

FBI Clearernce: If your residence period in the US has been 6 months or longer the since the age of 18, provide an orignal FBI clearernce certificate.

But on cic website it says if you applied for a permanent resident case you need to submit FBI clearernce.

Please advise.

Hello Everyone,

Thanks to Allah and duas of my parents, I got my PPR today. This is the greatest day of my life. It has been a long process for me and my husband but finally it has nearly come to an end. However, I still need your help with the following:

1) How long does it take to receive the passport back with visa after you submit. I am in Lahore. Do they give you a reference/tracking number? Is there any cost?

2) The PPR is asking me to complete Appendix A. I am a bit confused. I need your expert advise. Appendix A has a column for principal applicant and another column for spouse or partner. My husband is a Canadian citizen and he is the sponsor.
Am I the principal applicant or am I the spouse or partner?
Do I have to put my husband's name anywhere?

My timeline is below if anyone needs to use it as a reference. I would like to thank everyone for all your kind words and help. Much appreciated always and I pray to Allah that you all get your PPRs very soon.

I was also waiting for an interview date and had to wait 1 year before got a date. They have so many people for interview and if u haven't received a date for November, u may have to wait for the next set of interviews. I did interview in May and am still waiting on background checks, any one know how long that takes?

I did remed before going to interview and am still waiting for next step.


@ Iqbalf, I checked with MP and did a case inquiry and they both say they r doing routine background checks and we still need to wait. I initially applied in 2012 and file was in Islamabad.
Please remember me in ur prayers too everyone.

Hi Asad,

Thanks a lot. Yes, I believe Alhamdulillah I am lucky enough to get it done positively in very short time. Regarding Intimations, LVO requested additional documents back in Late Aug 2015 and I have sent my CDRs showing my wife Pakistani number and also sent Facebook logs with more than 30 check-in on different places of Lahore and to clear I highlighted dates and venues for LVO.

But that doesn't impact my case Alhamdulillah and I got positive results and didn't hide anything from them. I believe its legal right of my wife to stay with me during whole process.

Anyway Be straight and clear and believe in Allah then all goes well.

Can you plz tell me which additional documents they requested from you? When you sent that and when you got DM. Actually I got request for additional documents as well and sent them by email and post as well. Now waiting for any progress from LVO. Thanks

1. it takes 2-4 weeks to get passport back. yes you will get a tracking number. The only cost is postal charges.
2. you are the principle applicant. you will leave the spouse blank.

Stressful days !!!

W salam ! Really stressful and disgusting yaar ! I ordered notes and previous month it was shown in the notes that I'm in the queue for the interview.. I applied file in May 2014.. Its too much now ! Till now I haven't heard a word from them.. I'm the Nikah case only, thats why its too obvious that why they put us in the interview queue ! Fittay muuun unka .. hoping for the best
