Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

A Canadian citizen can apply for a spouse visa even if he is not in Canada (during the entire process) while a permanent resident is supposed to be in Canada. But this does not mean that a PR holder can't leave Canada for vacations or can't visit his family abroad. Happy reunion, request him to buy tickets.

There are some PR's who went to Pakistan for 1 month without problem.

Hi

I am the example. My wife is PR holder and she spent only 6 months in Canada since her PR and when she applied me in back Dec 2014 then she came back to Pakistan in Jan 2015. Its normal because it shows that there is continuous relationship and in our culture wife have to live with her husband most of time.

Hi Azlan,

I can confirm my wife was with me during whole process in Pakistan and she is PR holder NOT Citizen. I believe there is no such hard and fast rule for that.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

According to my knowledge and opinion, vacations are OK, but for a PR holder living out of Canada permanently during spouse application may affect negatively.
Congratulations Arslan bhai, You are lucky to get through. (I guess your wife did not intimate to LVO, that after January 2015 she is out of Canada. If she had intimated, this could have complicated the case).

PR officially not allowed to live outside Canada during the process, vacations doesn't matter but for vacations also you have to show proof that she came to visit you from this to this time and some kind of pictures and receipts for shopping and all.. this is the legal way rest all people not inform visa office for visit and all this is illegal.. This restrictions only for PR..Citizen can sponsor his/her spouse from all over the world and can stay outside during whole process this is legally allowed from CIC.
