still waiting, there is still no approval of sponsorship.
what the hell is going on at mississauga, don't they have new quota for files?
this long wait is very frustrating when see people who applied after us already approved way back.

Really it's been so long now.I hope you receive approval as oon as they work on applications now.Just few more weeks and you will hear good news.

For sure it will be very fast, once you will get medical. looks like they will might start background/criminality check before medical. For my situation Singapore ask PCC as well as updated background deceleration form with medical.It means background/criminality check starts after medical.Application status still show "application received"

I hope things will progress quickly for you. We have not been so lucky, so far...Meds done in May 2012, no further word yet.

Rajaji, Sakamatch et al - can you check this out so as I sad the notes said the bulk letter was sent however, it only says it in the notes NOT in OUTGOING CORRESPONDENCE, here are some details, can you advice? as I am imagining that they might have sent as the date in the notes is 8th Nov where lot of users got it

My parents immigration application has been processed by Case Processing Pilot in Ottawa.

They finished medical check May 2012 - got medical received status - and sent in the security check and fingerprint to Case Processing Pilot in Ottawa.

After 3 months, in December 2012, we received a status update from Singapore Visa Section saying that "This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2012/12/22."

Vietnam immigration is handled by Singapore. The online status still say they process the application in October 12, 2012.

Just wondering what does this mean? Is their case suddenly changed to the worst and being delayed and processing in Singapore? Or is this passport request pending?

Just a thought, when I received the request for my parents medical, it stated that the medical had to be completed within 30 days of the date on the letter.

My understanding of that was my medical is arranged after receipt of letter, not before.

Looking at the timeline of some applicants, my guess is that you (kandel) will get request for Medicals, PCC, Docs etc. by the mid February 2013 or in early March 2013

I just got meds done for my folks and since I didn't have med form, we filled Upfront Med Forms, doctor said it's OK, and took copies of approval letter with File#

Upfront does have option for Family ( checkmark )

They said they normally give with IME # but don't think Delhi does that, they send the same paperwork to everyone with File #

Form which is mailed by LVO comes with IME# printed on it. But with the new Medical Examination System there might be some changes. Do you have anything under Medicals in GCMS notes. If there is an IME# for your parents, it will be noted in that section.

I thought it was pretty generic I checkedin GCMS, but IME # is blank I basicaly told doctor to put File and UCI on the Upfront Medical forms, I did this as another use also waited for paperwork from delhi and he got it done in toronnto ( not sure if he has IME # ) but they were saying stuff abt changes in medical exam, whats that about
