How many cases are out there with 2007 applications and who have submitted passports and medicals in late OCT 2012 or early NOV 2012 with no visa so far
This is very frustrating and puzzling to see 2008 applicants getting visa while 2007 applicants wait.
With no offence to those 2008 applicants

It is hard to Guess. Priority orders got all mixed up after requests for new documents were mailed out by CIC in November 2011, those who responded quickly (not all of them) got moved forward in the queue. I do not like to use this word but, in short, it seems - All Messed Up.

@ Kandel

Don't do medicals and send documents without any request.Wait for the request.Once you get the letter it will not take that long. There are many cases whose medicals are doneand updated in 3 weeks,I don't think so it taking that long.

As rajaji said upfront are just for spousal cases only.Kandel don't get confused ,just think you don't have this option.Just prepare your paperwork and research your DMP i.e who takes less time to send medicals.

guramrit: But send a reply to CIC informing that :
A. Medicals were done for your mother and the report sent by the doctors. (include the tracking number details etc)
B. Mention that it is not clear if re-medicals need to be done for you mother or if any specific tests need to be done. (include the copy of the letter CIC had sent you - highlight the portion which you think indicates that CIC wants medical for your mother)
C. Ask what is now expected of your mother as regards the medicals.
i hav sent mail cic .. nd hav mentioned all the thing u told above on 7-1-13 but didnt got any reply frm there side till now so i ws worried abt it ... plz suggest wat shld i do now

ND LVO asks for medicals and passports at the same time. Once that is done, ND LVO hold on to your passports and start background/criminal checks, so that could be the reason why it is taking longer for LVO to issue visa after they have received passports. Whosoever has background/criminal checks completed early will receive visa early. Others will have to wait until all checks are done. I'd give minimum 3-5 months (parents only, no dependents) for background checks, so I'd not expect visa from ND within 3-5 months of sumbitting passports to ND LVO. For parents with dependents, time could be longer. Also, I do not know if ND LVO will start background checks only after passing medicals.

In CPP-O cases, they had done background/criminal checks before asking for passports. Therefore, visa is issued soon after having received the passports. For CPP-O, timeline for receving PPR was within 3-5 months of passing medicals NOT submitting medicals.

It is taking 3-7 years to sponsor parents.Right now there is a freeze on this programme. It will open in Nov 2013 with new rules and requirements. You have to maintain the Lico throughout.
You can bring them on visitor or supervisa to Canada.
What exactly do u mean by easy way? Let us know may be we can suggest you something. The time also depend on where your parents belong orif you have dependents along with them.

The Email/letter that you would receive from CIC would contain all the details about what needs to be done - including what tests would have to be undertakes, how much the DMP (now they are called Panel Physicians PP) would charge you for those etc. Documents like CIC's letter, original passports and photographs also needs to be taken.

The doctors would fill up Section A of the Medical forms (not provided to you by CIC - the doctors should have these forms) and provide you a copy of it. Make sure you take this back with you after your tests - as you would have to include a copy of this to be sent back to CIC with other documents (IMM008 etc). This would help CIC match the medical reports to your (your parent's) file.

They do not provide a list of PP in the letter. However, they provide a website where you can find the one closest to you - here's a link for India:
www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medicalinfo.aspx?CountryID=1995&CountryName=India

Hi kandel, we had to look for one who was close to our residency....my parents got it done in Ludhiana....but that DR no more practicing as DMP. You can find a list of DMPs on cic site and chose one who is close your parents' residence......
