For us the medicals were requested soon after the transfer, but then nothing happened. Got COPR only about 3 weeks before the medicals expired. It is my sense that Vienna is quite overloaded, perhaps because some other European visa offices were consolidated there about a year ago. good luck!

hard to know. maybe they did the background check beforehand. The additional information we provided was very, very straight-forward and we did list each trip to Canada, including reason. I think your advice was good!

Correct, we are from a Visa exempt country (Europe). I think it may have been in response to my email enquiry about a month ago. Then they asked for more detailed background info, which we sent right away. Today the email arrived in response to the earlier email chain. ECas still says medicals...

Has anybody had complaints from the LVO that the "Client History Form" was not filled out properly? We made MP enquiry and that's what we were told. Now waiting for LVO letter in this regard. This is AFTER the medicals, long after...I would have thought that these issues were dealt with before...

Does anybody know how long the background checks take on a simple file, i.e. 1 person, lived in one country all his life? From other posts it sounds like minimum 60 days. I am interested people's experiences with that. thanks!
