The Medical Report (IMM 1017B UFM) is provided to panel clinics by the Health Branch. These forms are pre-populated with a Unique Medical Identifier (UMI#) and a barcode. Does your copy have a UMI#?

HMB should still be able to identify the ME reports on the basis of UCI. As each Client Case also has IME#, hope that HMB will be able to resolve this correctly (I think it should not be a problem but it is all guess).

You can request your PP to contact HMB/RMO via Fax or Phone and ask for correct procedure.

It gets stressful. I hope that everything works out okay for you. Take Care.

BTW, did you look for IME# in GCMS notes under section MEDICALS?

Yes, UMI # is there ( Does that make a difference ) + I told them to put File# and UCI too

Searched GCMS, IME# is blank

UMI# or IME# identifies the CLIENT HEALTH CASE in eMedical system. But question is:
1. how it will be associated with IME#, if there is an IME# already assigned or
2. a new number will be assigned.
3. when you send the copy of 1017B to New Delhi VO, will the ND VO be looking for IME# or will ND VO be okay with UMI#

Thats the whole case, but for ND to look for IME#, they have to send me forms with IME#'s which they don't for India specific people, its only for Outside India but if I send this form as is, they won't have an IME # to begin with ( all speculation )

The funny part is my folks say there is always something good will come out of this delay... :D what really could be good about this

I have looked at all the new forms and seems to me that it will be okay.
Though I still think PP could have used Form 1017 instead. But at the same time, I think PP hesitated/refused to use 1017 because s/he thought there will be no identifier (UMI# or IME#) on form 1017 except UCI, Client Name and DOB and HMB/RMO may have problems with that.

LOL. Hey as your folks say, everything will be okay. :)

Really Really appreciate your sticking around for knowledgeable answers, I was so wrong about this Upfront Meds for Kandel, thought this would help but this is a diff ball game alltogether

I am a parent. I am not consultant. I like/try to find answers to questions which I myself and others have and share my findings. I think, CIC is trying to get better but resources are not in place. I am not in Canada.

Hi everyone, I must share my excitement with you all..... I received my COPR yesterday :) It only took 2 weeks after sending my passport photocopy and photos to London LVO for this to come.. Yipee I can now start planning my life in Canada with my family as my life has been on hold now for almost 5 years. It will take a lot of hard work for me as I am doing everything by myself at this end in Scotland. I plan to land in March and have my flight booked. I will stay a month and then come back and try and sell my house and that could take a while, I know, but I will keep faith that everything will work out ok.

Kandel, you are only 1 day later than me in application time so I am sure you will hear about your medical request soon. It took me 6 months after my file was transferred to London for me to get the medical request.

I wish all the other forum members the very best for the future and I will still look in to see how things are going with you all.
God bless

Congratulations Gramma Nessie.

@User828,

What if you send medical receipts with your documents to N D.Will it solve the problem?Once they will have the receipt they can match results internally. So many time when clients do medicals on request with all forms, even then CHC can't locate the meds ,then they ask to send receipt or ask the name of Doc.Just write a cover letter with name and address and date of medical done along with receipt to N>D.I think that would be enough from your side.

Copy of 1017 (in the case of user828 it is 1017B), which PP has given is the receipt and that is required to be mailed to VO. Keep a copy of the document with you for your record.

Looking at the timeline of some applicants, my guess is that you (kandel) will get request for Medicals, PCC, Docs etc. by the mid February 2013 or in early March 2013

Thanks Rajaji...eagrly waiting.
