Hey i would like to ask one thing guys.. Before going to medicals is their something like we have to fast?? Like not eat anything for 8 hours or something else that would be useful to know before going for medicals? Thanks in advance..

i can tell u few things 1. Drink alot of water before 1 day 2. Not to eat oily food and fast foods 3 blood pressure should not be high then 140 if bp>140 doctor may refer. To ECG .last thing most important not to be over-consious about medical be relax and good all will be fine is my experience before medical

Yes i applied may 2008 got additional request in nov 2011 send the documents in jan 2012, received first letter in april saying that we received your documents on jan 18,2012 and your file tranfered to New Delhi. And my parents got email from ND saying that we got for file in New Delhi

Hey Ashleen CAIPS/GCMS is a short for 'Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System'. It is the computer system historically used by Citizenship & Immigration Canada to process visa applications, and holds all the information on the current status of every immigration application being processed by overseas offices (i.e. those outside of Canada), other than new applications at offices which have switched to using the 'GCMS' system.

Best way to drink lot of water - is throughout day keep on sipping water... Do not hop lot of water instantly.... also, use washroom many times if drinking lot of water.... this way toxic stuff is excreted from body and your body becomes clean... However, this may not happen in 1-2 days.... Do not drink more than 3 to 3.5 liters of water in a day..... it is dangerous and life threatening to drink water more than your body needs... You can google it... there are websites which tells you required water intake based on inputs of daily routine, climate you live in, age, weight, height etc....

www.caips.ca is a 3rd party who charges $40 and takes more time for the same info

Ashleen - you probably missed my posts 2-3 pages ago. I ordered GCMS Notes ( which tells you info about your file ) and found that they sent additional docs which everyone is talking about since last 2 months, but due to wrong email I missed it and also the due date. Judging by your timeline, I thought it would be a good idea if you can check your GCMS as well to see if they sent soemthing

Its IMM 5563 for Access to Personal Info ( Choose Electronic File, Status of App and File #, Location: eg, New Delhi ) , IMM 5744 ( Consent from Principal App to allow you to ask for such info , has to be signed ), fee of $5.00 - forms and fee is payable online at www.cic.gc.ca and then send all attachments to ATIP-AIPRP @ cic.gc.ca ( take about a month to get results )

i just want to make it more clear in imm008 as additional document request i put myself sponsor as representative and put my email address and canadian mailing
address and i did not write the mailing address of my family in visa office country so now after first stage approval as the file is transfered to local office visa office already so what would be next step will cic still contact me about medical request for my parents here in canada as i am representative or the local office visa will contact me or how as i am like there is no mailing address of my parents in the file so what would be the next step
i would appreciate if u guys reply as for the first stage i got correspondence from cic to my mailing address in canada

Finally a good news to share guys .. Got medical request.. The letter is dated back to 3rd January. But we just got to know about it .. We will call on Monday to get the appointment .. We just have 10 days to do everything now.

Ohh .. Yea BP is one thing that is not in ur hands. Infact nothing is in ur hands when medicals are concerned :S.. All we can take is precautions.. Will make sure we all remain calm and cool when going for the medicals. .. Thanks user828..
