Hi guys, I am about to apply for citizenship and I have a few questions. Hope anyone here can help me out. Thank you so much

In the past 4 years, I did spend more than 183 days in row outside of Canada. So base on the cit0002e form, I have to provide a police certificate. my Question is, Can i provide that police certificate AFTER I send the whole citizenship application package? is there any problem if I do that?

Another question is, I am planning to leave Canada for traveling after I send the application package, Do I need to inform CIC about this?

Thank you

Certainly you need a police certificate from country where spent time outside Canada more than 183 days. All correspondence are sent by CIC in mail to only Canadian Address. You should be able receive them from mailbox. Missing any CIC letter would jeopardize the whole process.

You need to provide police certificate with application.
If not, then provide the details in the explanation box.
Note: police certificates are valid for only 6 months. so try getting it closer to submitting your complete application.

As per CIC website:
To be valid, the police certificate must be either issued:
  • after the last time you were in that country, or
  • no more than 6 months before the date you sign your citizenship application
We may request a police certificate at any point during processing, even if you submitted a valid certificate with your application.

Do we need language test for citizenship application, I mean again we need to write IELTS or some exam to apply for citizenship ?

Ye, like IELTS General, CELPIP or your Canadian degree. (expired is ok too)
I have my old TOEFL exam which was expired in 2009 is that ok ? or I have to write again IELTS exam ?
