I was taking the wording in the email quite literally... Does AOR mean only that they received application or does it mean that it was all there, it's not an incomplete app and they are on to the next phase?
Simply put...yes to all of your questions. If they need anything else, they will let you know.DEBBIEG said:I was taking the wording in the email quite literally... i wish I could check my progress online .....the curiosity. I've not been able to link my application...just a little patience I guess. What info did you use Goldman? Seems things are moving tho, probably SA next week. I'm July 6 applicant...goldman_64 said:I've got an update email yesterday. After checking my profile in cic, I found that "Review of eligibility" is changed to "Review in Progress".
Does it mean SA?
My application was received on July 7.
It was pretty easy. Just follow this instruction:sharonK said:i wish I could check my progress online .....the curiosity. I've not been able to link my application...just a little patience I guess. Congratulations!! I'd give it a full week of waiting before doing anything. I get the feeling that things are not perfectly on time most of the time anyways.Romania85 said:Hey guys, I just got off the phone with CIC and they told me that I've been approved as a sponsor on August 18th, but that I should have received an email. I was too ecstatic to ask any other questions, but the thing is that I didn't receive any such email. Should I call them back or should I just wait for it?
Was this for ECAS or MyCIC?goldman_64 said:It was pretty easy. Just follow this instruction:
-Select App. Number and Family name
-Use applicant's personal information: passport information. Leave blank for city and country name
-Fill other application information part: province, city, current marital status, Number of family members: 2
-Click search, then link it!
Hope you get success!
ECAS is the "Check application status" tool that you can use with application number and UCI you are given by the AOR email. If you can see your application status without using your MyCIC account, then you are staring at ECAS. Have a look at the URL of that website, it contains the words ECASjms627 said:Dumb question - but what is the difference between ECAS and MyCIC? I've been trying to link to MyCIC without luck but maybe I need to be using the ECAS?
Yeah, same for me. Linking doesn't work for me. On the instructional page for linking the application, it says that they don't support it for the sponsorship approval stage. Seems like it works for some people and not for others...jms627 said:Ahh - makes sense, thank you! Of course I've locked myself out so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to try again!
Sounds good, thank you so much!alias5000 said:Congratulations!! I'd give it a full week of waiting before doing anything. I get the feeling that things are not perfectly on time most of the time anyways.
