Thank you! Yesterday, I received the GMCS notes that haven't been updated since they received our file, and today we get the RPF request. I honestly thought that they hadn't done anything to our application, but it turns out they just didn't update it.

yeah, i'm still in shock that it took them so little, but we are so, so, so grateful! i miss my family (including parents+siblings) back in canada so much, we can't wait to be back and start our lives! i really hope everyone's case will be processed fast! :)

We had a very straightforward application, no red flags, I live with my husband in Romania and he's already been to Canada twice (has a tourist visa valid for 5 years, and a US visa valid for 10 years; maybe that helped speed things...

I completely agree that it's discrimination, why are applications from the US and other "western" countries processed within 3-6 months? However, I don't think that talking to your MP would solve anything since you applied 14 months ago, and the processing time for your country is 23 months.

It could be because the processing time for Romanian applicants is 14 months, while for Jordanian ones it's 23 months. As well, considering what's currently going on in the Middle East, it must not be easy for them to obtain the information that they need.

So they're working on April applications, so hopefully 2-3 more months for us (we applied at the beginning of July) :D Congratulations btw!

I'm not sure where it says that, but if your family member is proved to be costly to the Canadian medical system, then she cannot be sponsored.

If your daughter is over 18, then you can't sponsor her, she'd have to come on her own.
