I think it will be ok. I recommend you take the e-mail you got with your UCI number. That's what I did. My mom passed away and I obviously had to go back home. When I came back I told them what happened and gave them our UCI number. The officer checked on the system and made a note, stamped my passport and let me back in. And offered his condolences which I thought was very nice. Have a wonderful trip. Blessings!
Thank you!!!!

OMG!!!!!!!! :o

It's up to ELEVEN MONTHS NOW?!?!?!

At least it's moved up to Oct.21...........

well if it can jump so quickly from 6-10-11....I see no reason it shouldn't be able to drop down to 4 months once the strike is done.... >:(

Holy sh*t. This RIDICULOUS. Do they not realize that people are putting their entire lives on hold? How long does it take you to sort through case files? UGH! On the bright side (which is ever shrinking as the months go up) it's most likely that when AIPs do start coming in for 2013 applications, we'll probably also get DM.

Ya...no kidding, but they aren't too concerened with that or this stupid strike would have been dealt with by now...

I always keep up with the 2012 thread. Last week and the week before was pretty good for seeing lots of AIPs and DMs rolling in. I’m happy for ANYONE who gets theirs, after such a long wait!! It’s nice to see any movement!! Plus the more movement over there, means more movement for us soon too! :)

Re: Re: INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

On 31st March 2013, CIC was working on applications received on Oct 5th 2012. Today, they are working on applications received on Oct 21st 2012. Application they are working on has moved by 16 days in 170 days.

Amazing....

I tried to chek that ecas thingy but it say that they were not able to identify bla bla bla.How long did you waited since you could check your status?

EDIT:nevermind I managed it :D

Me and my common-law partner submit our app for PR inland on Sept 19 2013.

What are the steps now? (assuming we filled everything out correctly and there are no hold ups or document requests)

My guess is

1. AOR - acknowledgment of receipt (aprox 3 months?)
2. AIP - approval in principal another (7 months after AOR?)
3. final decision (another 6-8 months after AIP)

16-18 Months total?

SIDE QUESTION: At the same time that we sent in out PR application, she also sent in a OWP (change conditions of visa form or wahtever its called) so that they can change her Post Grad Work Permit to an Open Work Permit..
does this get processed at the same time as AOR or AIP?

this is how real democracies work, if you are on one side that is who to follow
it is been a long wait, and still got few more month, economical, psychological and who knows what more problems we will have.
in my country and probably yours too this strike would of been solve a long time ago either with bullets or blackmail, so i'm so happy and save to be in Canada that if would take ten years i would wait
just have to make the best of everyday
