I would like to share that I am done with this whole process. Thanks everyone for the support and encouragement. I landed August 23 in Etiboke and have received my PR card in mail. (46 days).

Hello everyone,

Our application was received March 18th, 2014 and we were asked to provide additional proof of relationship August 28th 2015.
We have sent the additional proof and was received by CIC September 17th 2015 according to Canada Post.
We were wondering if anyone experienced this issue where CIC requested additional proof of relationship. How long will we hear back from CIC again? We have not yet received SA or AIP.

just an update. I finally got AIP today.
I'm waiting for the Montreal office's call to finalize my file.
that famous process is very long and there is no joy after a long wait when we have good news.
All the best to those who are wating for good news .

Hi Erick,

You probably have already got your answer, but I will still answer to this question anyways.
In our case, we received the request to send additional proof on Nov 10, 2014 and we sent the documents on Nov 21st. After about 50 days later, we received the work permit and AIP at the same time.

First of all a massive congratulations to those who have recently completed the process - what wonderful news ;D

Some of you may have seen a thread I started in September under Family Class sponsorship about PhD research I'm doing on experiences of the Family Class application process and an anonymous online survey for people who are currently going through or recently finished the process. My goal is that my results can be used for advocacy to make improvements to the system for people who want to sponsor family members in the future.
