Have you tried to call CIC? or order notes? What do they say?

Nothing to it. Just went to office in Calgary and waited for name to be called and was over in about ten minutes while girl did paperwork. Went downstairs to get SIN number and off we went. Got Alberta Health Care a few weeks ago. Husband said not to thank the girl as she represented the reason why our lives were held up for three past three years as they dragged this garbage out for the full 26 weeks for no other reason than just because they could but, we were very nice to her and wished her a good day. If they had been a month earlier I could be working with husband up north but he needed to get position as his helper filled for January 1 so here I am again sitting at home with no job or place to go while he and his helper will work until middle of April. I'm walking around putting in applications for jobs but few places hiring.

I see on the news that people with status in the US can now jump line by coming here illegally by saying they are afraid yet they seem to have have enough money to bribe, pay for airplanes, hotels, taxis and more, and the Canadian government welcomes them with open arms yet makes all of us burn off years of our lives despite having ALL our documentation in order. I'm just shaking my head.

Sorry for the rant, I thank you for your support and concerns and also wish those who have yet to get PR to have a short wait!

Just checking in... We still don't have a DM on our application. We were sent a procedural fairness letter a little over a year ago. I got husband's serious criminality moved down to criminality.

We responded to the final letter with a plea for compassionate consideration of our circumstances. It's been almost one year with no response from CIC.

They have just recently sent a request for medicals and a new 5669 form to be filled out. They also requested that the RPR fee be paid. With no mention about hubby's potential inadmissibility.

I am hoping that we are near the end, and that this is good news. The only thing that has saved us is the open work permit pilot. We sent renewal paperwork for the OWP in September 2017. He received a new OWP in January, it's good until January 2019.

The Inland process hasn't been 7 months for first stage in forever. It was at 11 months for at least the last 15 months.

Anyway, moot point.

Why don't you withdraw your current application and file an outland application with Ottawa?

You can remain with your spouse and you'll likely be all PR'd up and landed in roughly 6 months, given the current trends for US citizens. (Most are landing in 4 months)

Sorry to bump this dead thread but when I wrote this I was in a massive depressive state. I remember sitting and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, ran out of money, and I really did attempt to withdraw my application.

April 2015 I received a work permit. I had a few deaths in the family with took a massive toll on my to where I gave up establishing myself in Canada especially after my wife wanted to leave me for being unable to provide an income.

Until August 2015 I received a call from a major global company for a temporary job. I was hired in October 2015. In November 2015 I received my PR Status. After that everything look up and bright. After the contract was over they hired me permanently.

Now it is April 2021. I've applied for citizenship, live in BC now, and I found this threat because I wanted to give a somewhat update. I remember the spreadsheets.

Now with COVID, I don't know if the wait game has come back on the government end but to anyone if they are reading this: If you are waiting and tired of waiting, please keep your chin up. It will come to an end and you will be able to move on after the wait.
