Re: INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013-OWP Application Fees

Hi there, dear-sponsorship in waiting-friends,

I had filed my inland sponsorship application to CIC in Feb 2013 without an OWP request. I want to apply for an OWP now while my application is still in phase-I (Sponsor verification phase). I have filled out the IMM5710 but it does not mention any fee payment procedures.

How do I pay the fees for OWP and how much?

Back to 10 months on CIC website.....

Try search "payment for OWP inland app Canada" it should be 150 or something like that if I remember clearly. It's being paid online I think it was under the same place you paid for the initial PR application.

Yeah I am a little surprised how many of us are 23-24 haha! That's cool! :)

My guess:

changes back to 10 months and they keep it at October 12, 2012.

Do I win a prize? I'll take AIP.

I also could not figure out how to pay for the OWP which I sent along with my initial application. I still applied for it because I have heard that you can pay for it when you are granted it. I could be completely wrong but I figured to just go ahead and apply for it and then figure out the proper way to pay for it in the mean time. I still haven't figured it out! lol

It is all seriously confusing. I completely forgot how we even did ours.. They will probably let us know if we did it wrong i guess, as long as it doesn't add up time. 10 months for AIP is bad! :)

Just turned 25 on Aug 4. :)

I'm getting crazy in house, almost 9 months since I came to Canada.Put on little bit of weight from all that cooking every day. ;D

To James: SIN does expire for non-Canadians, but even if they are expired and you keep working wether for the same employer or not, legally or illegally, government will still deduct your taxes using your SIN number. I hold a restricted work permit (I'm only allowed to work for a certain employer at a certin location), we submitted our app in March together with my OWP app, that puts me on an implied status. I can no longer work when my work permit expires UNLESS, my employer will renew my contract and start with LMO process all over again. IEC must be different from what I have right now, but like what it says on the letter you posted, you can continue working based from your work permit restrictions.

And update for the drivers licence: Here in Alberta, wether you have an international drivers licence or a Canadian licence, they will still ask for immigration papers if you don't provide the registry with a Canadian passport. I was there yesterday, I have everything.. NS drivers licence, a piece of mail and my non Canadian passport... The lady asked me for my PR card or citizenship card. When I told her my case, she said no I can't hold an Alberta drivers licence until I get my OWP or PR card.
