The sad fact about this is that the most abuse this program will face will probably come from South Asians. I won't be surprised if people will be selling caregiver job offers in Punjab to village boys for 50-60 lakhs. Another program implemented without much thought.
If the conditions of a program are designed just how a 10 year old would design then, not sure if the biggest blame should be on the immigrant or the grown-up-kid? The only sad part is that Canadians lose every time a policy lacks thoughtfulness.

Ireland, which probably has the craziest open borders immigration system, is facing immense backlash for the way it’s handling immigration. When even Irish people can get pissed off, you can imagine how Canadians will react when they get pissed off. The facade of politeness will disappear and you’ll begin to see some real nastiness. Pierre pollievre won’t actually give his stance on immigration because the elections are more than a year away. You’ll see his actual stance and platform when it’s August next year. When they actually begin election campaigns.
I will say it is always better to know the reality of society than to live in a delusion of normalcy. If politeness is a facade, its better to know what lies beneath that.
Roflmao! I believe that’s their intention. That’s what they want. To stop truck loads of people flooding the country in the pursuit of sham degrees and diplomas, when the idiots governing, can barely maintain the infrastructure for the existing population, let alone expand it.
What Canada needs to do is actually tie immigration levels/population growth to existing infrastructure, home building, jobs, healthcare facilities etc. Anyone who doesn’t actually want to be here can leave and those who shouldn’t be here, should be kicked out. Actually enforce deportation and remove people who don’t have a basis to be here. A sane immigration system would do that. This is what Denmark does. Regardless of what some economists say, I’m actually in favour of category based draws. Invite the people Canada actually needs to build more homes and for the expansion of healthcare facilities. Inviting a Marketing or Human Resource professional or Political science graduate just because they have a high CRS score and then creating the conditions for them do minimum wage jobs is a flawed system.
