Hey all!
Its been a while since I came in here and its been raining AOR's and SA's! Congratulations you all!
Mine still says, Application received and medical recd.
I have been on the edge waiting for my husband's SA. I have an extremely long wait-it says 23 months from Abu Dhabi VO- so that sucks! I know thats worst case scenarios, but it still scares me!
Also, it says on the website that they are now working on applications submitted on 18th Feb 2013. Since ours was submitted earlier, I am starting to really worry about the SA! Can't wait to be in blue on the spreadsheet as well...
On a side note, I love the initiative with the FB group, I have just joined that as well
Its so nice to see everyone sharing their stories in here! My husband and I have been dating for almost 5 years & we got married little over a year ago. The whole waiting away from my husband is so frustrating

If it has passed the time you have submitted your application and oyu have not received your SA you can then call CIC to inquire about your application.

Hey all,

I am so happy.

I got my SA today from CIC around 1 pm EST. Please update my file.

Now its time to knock the doors of Quebec for them approving me as sponsor.
Then NDVO will start processing my file once quebec has accepted me also.

I am jumping all the way ... YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

as far as the AOR from the visa office goes, does the sponsor or applicant recieve it???

The applicant gets it with a new UCI number that they can use to check their file. But not all VO's send out AOR's, sadly.

Hey S.J.K never lose hope. This waiting game is driving us all crazy. I just received my AOR last week even though I submitted my application on the first week of February. Tell your husband to call CIC. Call them first thing in the morning or 8am ontario time.

What a small world! He's my classmate in college and he belongs to the upper 5% of the graduating class and yes, he is a very nice person.

Yeah it was a slow night when someone suggested that we exchanged stories of how we met our other half's. It was a splendid evening as we read some pretty nice and poetic stories. If you haven't read them all take the time and do.
The FB group was also another very good idea because it seems that most of us will be around for a while so that will keep us a little closer!

Hi dear friend!

Yes that part of waiting for an AOR is done and am happy and all stress had left me.
I took Aspa from Hospital after staying in for 8 days but now it's one of the same. Her vomits are back and there's not a single moment of the day that is happy for us. I think we will visit the Greek hospital today so my country's doctors can check her out!
it is so frustrating to see your person suffering in this way.
