We applied in October but in November had to re-send some forms as some were updated by CIC. See my timeline in my profile for all dates. PR landing at YYZ on May 16, 2014. PR card received on July 18, 2014.

Hi all, my passport was requested this Monday. ;D They said it would take 4-5 business days.

Katezinha, someone pointed out on another thread that this is a relatively short period of time, if you consider your whole life. I find that hard to accept, as I have to take each day as it comes and stay sane with two young kids and almost no help.
I understand your frustration.
In my case, they claim they asked me to send them a form in January but I had no idea about that until May. I did send that form, had no reply, no answer whatsoever... What can I say? From what I have seen, it usually takes 9-10 months to hear from them, one way or another. Now, count 9 months since your file was sent to the visa office and hang on to that hope. It will end sooner or later

My husband received his PR last Tuesday! We're so excited! We crossed the USA/Canada border on Sunday in order to get his papers stamped. He will receive his PR card in 4-6 weeks, or so we were told by the immigration agent.

Now begins the fun part of getting his national insurance number, as well as his health care card. Very little work compared to the immigration process... hehe

So overall, it took just under 10 months, as we sent it all on the 02nd November 2013 and received it on the 25th August 2014. A date to remember!!

Yes, Katezinha! Thank God, it's over, I got the passport back on August 29th. We'll be landing on September 26! Good luck to you and your husband!
