I think if you get re-med & PPR together - they do your background checks after re-med has been received and once all is clear they stamp the passport and send it back. However if you get re-med alone they do your background checks once re-med results have been received and then send PPR once all is clear. In my time on the forum, I haven't seen background checks to be done after PPR for those who got re-med alone first. So all of us waiting for PPR after re-med, once the PPR comes I think we're through the worst - from there I've noticed it's usually 1-4 weeks passport is returned with visa.

they should complete all chekcs before sending PPR and PPR should be the final stage but we never know about CHC ..what is their working criteria...

I really hope everyone gets PPR and applicants with PPR get their PP back.

It is just another generic reply of theirs. You don't need to reply to it. Just add these details whenever you write to them again.

yes, that should be the sequence of everything and i thought the same but my cousin got Police Certificate request after PPR... so we never know what they can require at what stage.... :

I would talk to my wife first and explain her why she shouldnt do that. If she still does it then instead of having a fight, I would stop sharing.

Hi all,

I contact my MP, he said my file is still in CIC-M. (I was very confused). CIC-M had emailed me in may 2012 of file transfer. I emailed CHC-I in july, they said my file wasn't there?. I don't know what's happening?. How could a file which was supposed to be transfered 4 months ago still be sitting in Mississagua? Ever heard of this before?
