Does anyone have any information as to what documents, besides passport or travel, border service agents will ask for when my wife arrives in Canada?

As far as I can recall, I think we just need to give him/her the list of items, such as jewellery/cash etc?

I am an applicant.......my medical was done on the 1st of nov 2011.....i filed my application on the 3rd of dec 2011.....my file was transfered to islamabad embassy on the 30th of jan 2012......wen the file was forwarded to the isl embassy i got a letter in which i got my UCI number and also FILE number......since then wenever i check my e-cas it says "Application Received". do they mention about "medical Received" also or not??? and its been like 9 months now.....my medical will expire on the 1st inshallah......so can neone help me...shud i email them asking about the processing time or not???

I emailed them last year September asking to expedite the application on the grounds that my daughter is just 2 months old and my wife lives there on her own, if not then allow them to come back to Pakistan until i get visa...

and the answer as astonishing they said

“The fact that priority queues for spouses and children exist acknowledges that prolonging separation in such cases is not consistent with Canadian values, and we endeavor to process all such files to final decision as quickly as possible while remaining fair to applicants (many of whom are in similar situations) also in the queue.”

now can any one explain holding a priority application for 16 month, they are bunch of clumsy &^&$C+"%$£YR%^

They contradict themselves. Don't they have audits of any sort..

salam. abdul nasir i just want to ask if you got your passport request in ur mailbox from kabul,,, or you got it from pakistan. i mean do they send ppr to ur postbox inafghanistan or .. they send to pakistan. becasue for me once they asked a mailing address for pakistan becasue they send something back for correction so now im confuse whether they will send ppr to my pakistan mail box or still in afg.. do u have any idea?

Would anyone please explain the PPR stage of the application from Afghanistan. As I undrestand it
1. You get a normal mail in your afghanistan address asking for passport and an address in pakistan for return of documents and passport
2. You have to mail your passport from pakistan and provide them with a return address in pakistan
3. CHI will mail passport and returning documents to the address you provided them in pakistan.

Is this how it works please comment. Thanks

3months is a long period but don't worry my sister there are others also who have been waiting for so long. I really don't know the reason behind holding the passports. some people say that they do the security checks after getting passport but there are cases when they have stamped visa in a week time. i don't think so security checks can be done within a week. What's your ecas showing?
