can any of u help with this...
I am an applicant.......my medical was done on the 1st of nov 2011.....i filed my application on the 3rd of dec 2011.....my file was transfered to islamabad embassy on the 30th of jan 2012......wen the file was forwarded to the isl embassy i got a letter in which i got my UCI number and also FILE number......since then wenever i check my e-cas it says "Application Received". do they mention about "medical Received" also or not??? and its been like 9 months now.....my medical will expire on the 1st inshallah......so can neone help me...shud i email them asking about the processing time or not???

Seems too late for this medical so if everything ok they will send you request for medical and maybe passport soon, obtain GCMS notes to see where your at.

congrats to getting ur passport with visa...may i ask u when u send ur passport to isb for visa & from where u belongs???m asking b/c it's from 3 months m waiting for my passport m from khi

I m mar 2011 case n i've still not received the ppr request but waiting patiently coz honestly da situation is not in our control

Can anyone tell me if CIC-I does any background check / security checks after they have requested PP?

That could be another reason why there is a delay in getting passports back from CIC-I.

I have met senior Gov. Ministers as well as many MPs ...
don't expect much, as you mentioned it's the very Immigration Minister himself who can do it, but ironically he won't. Most recently before his retirement I met the Honourable Greg Sobara , I met Jim Kariganis and few others nothing they can do, all they would do is get a status update.

They may not be able to do anything about one case specifically, but if they are Liberals, they might like taking up the issue of this injustice in the house.

Inshallah! That sort of cheered me up.

And the next step after remed is the security checks. Sometimes they initiate them after they get the passports, which is stupid as one may have to travel during the duration tehy take for the checks.

And btw, I too come here more often than FB

they should complete all chekcs before sending PPR and PPR should be the final stage but we never know about CHC ..what is their working criteria...

Welcome to the waiting game … the processing time is 26 months but some people are getting PPR before their first medical expires so you might get it… its all up to CHC-I’s mood…
Your first medical results received status is not necessarily updated to ecase…. So don’t worry about that

They send me ppr trough pakistan post air mail to mazar e sharif my city. I have no mailbox it was sent to the city central post office. Then the post man brought it to my home.
