Did you just pull the 99% number out of thin air? and 'most people here'? Why it is so easy for some people just make up things without any basis is beyond my imagination

Agree c-24 added two year for me. When I arrived here to work as a software engineer on an intracompany transfer visa, I worked for over two years before I was elligible under CEC for PR. that took almost a year to process, during which time the the time required for CEC was reduced to one year. Then literally months before I was to become elligible for citizenship, c-24 went through, took my pre-pr time away and added an extra year (so two in total). In total its gonna take me 7 years to become a citizen + citizenship processing time, during which time I will have been employed 100% of the time and paying income tax. I am frustrated and I want c-6 to pass. given that makes two of use, then there should be 198 others on this forum who feel the opposite.

Lets not confuse the message here.

Noteworthy, every extra day on 4/6 rule there is more victims on the run. The numbers are increasing every day.

I am effected by this rule, yes, but I feel in NO WAY a victim or anything. This rule has no impact on my life here whatsoever, none. Having said that, I am probably in the minority..

And when would that be?

ONLY GOD KNOWS.... probably after the selfi era is passed!!!!

Why are you guys so eager for C6 when theoretically it will add years in processing due to backlog? Instead of waiting for 1 years more and get your application processed in less than one year, you will have to wait 2-4 years like before due to backlog!

I am pretty disgusted by this whole thread.... I too was affected by the changes brought about by Bill C-24, but that's life. Suck it up, we are all here because Canada ACCEPTED us to move here - it was NOT our right to move here, it was a massive PRIVILEGE!!! We could all have still been in the "crappy" places we moved from.... If we all previously lived in "paradise", we would never have wanted to move to Canada, which is most probably a better place to live, compared to where we came from.

Having said that, nobody on here REALLY knows EXACTLY what will happen, and when it will happen - right now, most people on here are trying to be more clever than the next, second guessing everything.

I would much rather the government do immigration PROPERLY, than just rush a bunch of people into the country. Afterall, most of us that moved here permanently, and that were affected by C24 or might benefit from C-6, have PR, just not a passport. So for now, the only difference is we cannot vote - big deal if we have to wait a little longer. I read how a lot of people on here keep on moaning and groaning - as if it's our RIGHT to become Citizens - people, it's a privilege as I already noted.

Heck, a lot of people complaining on here, cannot even spell properly, and some's grammar leaves much to be desired.... You are angry that you're not yet a Citizen - learn to write properly and spell properly before you become so angry for not having a passport. Heck, these forums even spell check FOR you....
