C-24 is not in the list of bills to be signed today. the list was mentioned earlier and it was known that GG is coming to senate.

Where is the list?

Thanks!

After searching the internet, the Ceremony was held in the morning, and now is 2 pm , so safe to assume that bill 24 wont receive royal assent today.
but it definitely will get 1 sometime next week

They clearly said GC is coming today at 4.30.

A motion was adopted that the last sitting before the summer be Tuesday I believe (I was distracted for a moment so did not hear properly :().

So it could be today, tomorrow, Monday, or Tuesday.

Chakrab, your article said: The Conservative government’s overhaul of citizenship laws, Bill C-24, is also expected to receive royal assent, though a source said that may ultimately come in the coming days, as C-24 is also scheduled for third and final reading in the Senate on Thursday.

So might be today, or in the next few days.

Why not listen to the actual details rather than all this speculation?

We are currently following http://www.parl.gc.ca/Content/SEN/Chamber/412/OrderPaper/ord-E.htm?Language=E&Parl=41&Ses=2#orders at "Question Period (30 minutes)".

I was listening, but it will take a few hours :).

Now that I think about it, if they complete third reading today, no reason not to do Royal Assent the same day.

My guess will be in about 1 hour from now.

Its better to check the page that shows status of all the bills.
they usually update it pretty quick and the senate session ends at 5:30. i will come back and check in 3 hours
