Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought this forum was mainly for people who hope to acquire Canadian citizenship. If so, the new requirements, including the change to the number of years is very important here. While I agree that the section of C-24 dealing with the revocation of citizenship is unconstitutional, that has no bearing on the rules for becoming a citizen. Therefore, to raise hope here that the entire law will be thrown out by a court, is unfortunate. In any case, court challenges take years. By the time the Supreme Court issues a ruling, everyone here will have their 4 years in!CanV said:

No, but I think you did. You want to discuss court challenges for people who are already dual citizens (Canadian, plus another), while this group is for people who aren't yet even Canadian citizens! Why people who made up all of their plans based on 3 years now required to spend 4 years, for some us even next 5 more years not problem but for some even a week more can disturb the whole planning, for example, if I want to go to state for better and higher education for Masters in Petroleum Engineering in coming September, I cannot do so now as I would be out for 2 years in US or may be more.
