Hi Guys,

I just checked but could not find Bill C-24 on agenda for today.

Also projected order for today's business shows "C-24 — The Minister of Citizenship and Immigration — Strengthening Canadian Citizenship Act — Third reading (deferred recorded division)". It means Third Reading - voting has been deferred.

Please check yourself and confirm if my observation is correct. Thanks

In addition rest four days of this week have been projected for Private Member's business. None of the day included C-24.

I am totally lost here, even the minister does not know what is gonna happen?

I think decision has already been made in the black box...

Even I read in this forum that a guy has contacted cic and the agent even told him that the law might go repo., and every applicant whose file is not registered in cic system (Not receive you file) will be returned when the law is on...

What a country...

what you said is ridiculous. It has passed house, but senate still needs time to pass it and once the bill receives royal assent, THEN it will become the law. for the mean time, every application Sydney receives will still process under the old law!!!!!!!!!!!

Go look at Senate scheduled meetings for the week. Not discussing C-24.

It will be unlawful if CIC returns any completed application reached to Sydney even before the day new law comes to in effect. There is approx. 50,000 applications received in last 2 month now on Que waiting for CIC to put in the system.

I hope cic can keep them, because i will send out my application on June 23rd.

However, if you recall what they did when raised the fees and returned all the old applicants in one shot, you should be worried that they might do something similar to us...

No one knows...

From where this number came 50,000 in the last 2 months?

Where do you get the 50,000 number from rayman_m?
