You need to be a Canadian Citizen or physically be in Canada (by providing a canadian mailing address to which the ATIP notes will be sent).

You also need a scan of the consent form signed by the SPONSORED spouse, which is the principal applicant. (form IMM5744, google it as I don't have a link)

You will then request the ATIP at the above link with the following details:
Requesting Information on your behalf: No
Requesting information belonging to a deceased individual: No
Category of Requester: Member of the public
Right of access: Depending on your situation. Mine is "Canadian Citizen"
Act: Access to Information Act
File Type: Immigration File: Permanent residence
Type of Records: Case Files
Type of Documents: Electronic Files (make sure you do not select physical files, as they would have to retrieve your file from visa offices to actually scan it)
Method of Delivery: Email (allthough last time, they sent them by post to my Canadian address)

You will then need to upload the consent and pay a 5$ fee through credit card. I tried with a Lebanese card and it works perfectly fine.

Unfortunately I still can't access my ecas so I have no idea what's going on with my application other then that I got my sponsorship approval and file transferred to Beirut,
I called cic and explained to them I can't login..not much help told me to
Send an email describing the problem

we applied in august 2013 and they just called my husband couple days ago
from the embassy in lebanon, they wanted clarification on his schedule A form about what he
was doing before military service....hoping this is a good sign that they wont need and interview!!!
timeline:
august 2013 they received app
september 2013 sponsorship accepted and file transferred to ottawa
they received medical exam
november 26 2013 posted that they are processing application

Nothing new here.

Our medical should have expired end of Nov but we didn't a request to renew yet, emailed CPP for more info about why our file was transferred back to Bey, didn't get an answer.

Will request a new set of notes sometime around Jan, maybe things will have moved by then...

Renew the passport and wait for CIC to request new medicals.

Does this mean they're not even checking our files to see whose papers have expired? That's pretty bad news.

I was hoping to get the PPR before our medicals expire in February. But I'm not hopeful anymore. I'm pregnant and was hoping to deliver in Canada this summer as a permanent resident. I guess that won't happen.

By the way, does anyone know if they would accept a medical exam without an x-ray? I'd be reluctant to do an x-ray with a baby inside.

Best of luck for your pregnancy.
I'm almost sure doctors will not allow you to x-ray if pregnant, but I don't know if they will accept a 2nd medical without x-ray.. You should check the forums for previous cases..

is that mean the security has been passed too?

Also for the Application Assignment, ,the due date is for 15/1/2014(hope it will be to schedule for an interview)

Hi guys,

I also received my gcms notes today. mharakeh1, my notes are just like yours but my due date is Feb 1. I also realized they extended the medicals to aug meaning they made them valid for 2 yrs. my husbands medicals were done in aug 2012!

It should takes about 1 month from the date that you applies for GCMS.
