March 17th, exactly one week ago. Meanwhile, they sent him several emails with tracking numbers because the passport goes from visa office to Canadian ebbassy in Beirut and back.

They texted my husband to pick up the passport on Wednesday between 3 pm and 4 pm. It's finally over for us!

Canadian_leb, I emailed Beirut in February, at about 11:00 pm our time which would be 8:00 am Beirut time. I had a response within an hour!

I filed last year and this year as married and from an accounting educated person, I suggest you file married. It won't make a difference on your taxes.

Hi guys! My husband submitted his passport today and it now finally says Decision made, after 1 week. He had a 42$ charge and was told he would receive a text msg in one week max.

Thank you and 3o2belkon all! They never contacted us for an update police certificate or anything at all. I check Ecas nearly everyday and as of today it is still In Process. We applied in late October 2012 and got sponsorship approval in November 2012.

I emailed Beirut today, and they responded nearly an hour later. They said his application is still waiting for security results and they can't give a specific timeline for this stage. They also said that he would be contacted directly once they receive the results. Inshallah khair, I think...

Question, I applied in October 2012. Processing times then was 18 months. Now it is 21 months. Does the 18 months apply to me or 21 months?

In Alberta, they accepted the birth certificate with just my name on it. I got her passport and traveled with no questions even asked about him until I arrived back to Canada!
