OK so in response to a few questions here... I applied last March, and I received no other communication other than being transferred to beirut (same time as everyone else) until this passport request yesterday. Medical and criminal should have been expired but they gave her until late August...

Update! Wife just got passport request. Didn't check ecas. I hope it works out for everyone soon enough!

Application was sent march 2013, was transferred around the same time as the rest from here.

Nothing new for me, still waiting on Beirut to get things moving.

Ya I received my sponsorship acceptance literally 2 days after I mailed it. Seems they have streamlined that process. As was stated above I hope the transfer of the files to Beirut means things have went quickly and smoothly. Just the waiting game now.

I think that is just quoted from the 'official' processing times. I know more than one person that just recently sponsored their wives from Lebanon where the process took around 7-8 months. I don't think it will take much longer than that unless you are unlucky.

New here, but same situation, From Mississauga to cpp Ottawa and now to Beirut as of today. Will check this thread for any updates :)
