Beirut FAM applicants forwarded to CPP-Ottawa

Got my notes today.

Short story: It doesn't look good.

Long story:
My last set of nodes were dated July 16 (this is the date they were actually extracted from the system), the new notes are dated October 11 (almost 3 month later).

As per both set of notes: Eligibility, Security, Criminality and Medical assessments are ALL NOT started.

My physical file location is as follows:
Office: CPP Ottawa
Location: Beirut Storage
(Before the Beirut Transfer, the file was stored in CPP Ottawa "Registry" instead of "Beirut Storage"
It says that there is another copy in Beirut e-storage (definitely a digital copy)

The few things that changed since my last set of notes are as follows:
-A new section that says "Application Assignment" my file was assigned to a VO, and there is a due date on October 30, which probably points to the next date my file will be checked (hopefully).
-A section that mentions my file was transferred from CPP Ottawa to Beirut reason being "TFR-Eligibility"
-A section that mentions they received the email copy of the CSQ (no news regarding the hard copy I sent them as per their request)
-A section that mentions they emailed us regarding the transfer of the file to beirut with a copy of the email they sent

By now, I am convinced that CPP-O is just sending all Beirut files back to Beirut VO, regardless of their progress, either because Beirut VO can now handle the load, or because someone decided it be that way.

Our medicals expire in mid November, we'll be ready to re-do them as per the VO's request...

Anyone has notes on the way to compare?
I believe I'll order my next set of notes around early-mid december...

Hi guys,

I just got my notes an hour ago. Nothing exciting but no red flags based on my interpretation.

Reason of transfer is same as Candude TFR - Eligibility.
The last update date on the application is September 30th, 2013 by CA00210.
Medical is passed- security and criminality Not Started. I dont have that section "Application Assignment"
The medical assessment as I said Passed and valid until 2014/05/09
I also looks like the application was really sent on 2013/07/12 to Beirut e-storage
It looks like the transfer it to Paris then to Beirut... Is it the same for you Candude?

Canadian_Leb You have just proved the most likely scenario: File is sent to Beirut for security check and interview.
A lot times the Eligibility is determined through the file itself and the interview gets waived. If there is any doubts or questions about your relation with your spouse, they will call for interview.
Security and Criminality most probably cannot be started in Ottawa and has to be done in Beirut, this is security check. Security Check with proof of relationship with Medical exam forms the Eligibility of the sponsored person to enter Canada.
For me it sounds very normal, that they sent the file to Beirut and what is left is Security check and a possible Interview. I m not sure about Candude though, After 7 months and the medicals are not started yet! I am very sure they did something else, like study the proofs of relation at least and decided that it is genuine. Candude does your notes indicates this anywhere??

TFR = Transfer

The first time TFR-Eligibility appears in my notes is when my file got transferred from Mississauga to CPP-O. As I got sponsorship approval, my file was eligible for a transfer to CPP-O for further processing.

I however, do not know the exact eligibility criteria for the file transfer back to Beirut..

Peeps, how about you contact your MP and let them explain whats in your notes and whats going on.
I think the MP is our best interpreter for now!

Same for me. Same dates and assigned to/by.

I don't have any mention of Paris in my notes. I think this is related to the medical file.
From what I remember, Paris used to be a hub for medical records of the EMEA region prior to the eMedical system..
As per my file, it seems that they have never received my medical file. I find this very weird..

You are right candude, the medical gets verified or something in Paris. I wonder what you can do since your medical wasn't received. Should you do another one or should you wait until they request? Iam not sure, ssometimes things get messed up and lost I guess. You might wanna call them in Beirut. My husband's medical is valid until 2014/05/14 which is 14 months from the day I got sponsorship approval.

Application was sent march 2013, was transferred around the same time as the rest from here.
