I hope that we will be the ones to reduce the processing times on the website

Candude, I dont think she said her application got transferred, She said forwarded which means I think she got her sponsorship approval and her application got forwarded to CPP-O which really proves the theory we discussed that CPP-O gets the files first, does some processing and then sends them to Beirut for further processing

No worries candude it is all good . .. Are you going to request your case notes again at the end of this month? Would it be a good idea to do so?

The last due date in my notes (date at which the assigned visa officer should look at my file) was on October 30.
From what I recall, they usually "work" or on the files about once a month, on the due date.
I was thinking of waiting until either mid december to request a new set of notes, or maybe even until 2014.

My first two sets of notes show no action whatsoever taken on my file, and I would get a bit pissed if the third didn't show at least a small sign of improvement.
With that being said, my medicals are expiring soon (29 Nov) , and I would prefer to wait for some action from CIC showing some activity.

Let's hope so ... Hopefully we hear something next week. At least they should ask you to renew them. I dont think it is a good idea to get the notes in December because of the holiday season.

I received an email saying I got my sponsorship approved for my wife April 9 2013 so I'm coming up at 8months waiting so far and I got an email September 19 2013 saying my application has been transferred from cpp Ottawa to Beirut, is this a good thing??

When I last checked my application status online I remember it saying decision made
But for the last few months it won't let me log in and I don't no what to do its driving me insane!!!!

Is there a way to find out how my application is doing
I no there's no way of finding out when she gets the visa I just want to no that its being worked on

there is about a month between when I applied and you did. Both of our applications as well as other people's example candude got sponsorship early this year and on September 19th those applications were transferred to Lebanon.

the Status of my application or my husband's is still application received with medical results received. When you got your letter or your wife got the letter from CPP ottawa stating that the application has been transferred, they should have given you a 2nd UCI for the applicant and you should have the application file. you could use any of those two to check the status of your application make sure you specify the one you are using and you put the applicant information (last name, bday and country). you can also use your old UCI which shows the 2 piece of the appplication that is the one you got when you received sponsorship approval. for this one you use your last name and bday instead of your wife's.

Good luck to all of us. If you are still having issues I would call CIC. We are basically here all in the same boat so Inshallah we haergood news soon. Let's just stay positive, I guess 8 months is not so ebad.

I have received my Notes as well...

The Medical is passed, but criminality, security and eligibility are all NOT STARTED.
About the Due date thing, I don't have the Application assignment section, but I can see the it under Eligibility, Security, Criminality etc...

The eligibility has A due date of 20/08/2014, I panicked at the beginning as I remembered Candude saying that they will take a look at my file on this date. I realized that this date is always 1 year of the date the application was filed. After some research the Due date is more like a deadline.

On some case, the Due date is a deadline linked directly to the expiry of some documents. On Security and Criminality, The due date is 16-09-2013 (3 months since I issued the police certificate)

Under the Medical section the due date is 16-08-2014, But there is a validity date which is 1 year from the medical exam. and it was 12-06-2014.

And here it hit me, with the help of some research... Why does the medical have a due date since it was already passed? Simple, if the application is not done yet, few days after the medical expire, they will ask to renew the medical exam with a time limit of 60 days... so the deadline to submit the new medical will be 16-08-2014 hence the due date!
Which means they will update your file when they receive the new medical, or on the due date.

Due date, Can also be routine, like in the Eligibility... it is like a reminder to make sure that your file is not forgotten!

Candude, They should have asked you to renew the medical, did anything happened with you, you should be experiencing some action.

Hi Guys,

How come my husband's medicals expiry date was 14 months after we applied? He did his medicals on January 24th, 2013 and they are valid until May, 2014. 14 months after we sent in our application.

Just wondering ....

I am heading down to Beirut on Christmas this year. Do you guys think it would be ok to give the beirut embassy a call and see if we can go in to find out some info. Would that be ok?

Anyways, I do not think it is possible to call for a case specific inquiry, I don't know, try, you might be lucky. But they don't even respond on e-mails about specific case inquiry unless it passed the normal processing times.

To add a little more, I was pregnant as well and had a baby girl in May this year. CPP-O was notified at the time and they added the info to the file according to GCMS notes.

I noticed that many of you applied this year, while my application has been almost 14 months!

I'm wondering how much longer it will take as I have the same status as others who have applied after me!

Congratulations on the birth of your girl. I applied in march this year and my status does not say " we started processing etc..." It only says we received the application and medical results have been received.
I am not sure if that's a good indication that they are at least processing. You know starting April this year there was a strike that just ended in September. My application as well as others were transferred to Beirut and that was the last update we had so far.

We can order the notes in January next year and see if anything has been done on our file since the transfer.
