This waiting game never ends... Passport has been at VFS since 12/03.. They told us it would take a few days, it's been 9 business days so far.

13 month is spot on with my processing times. I got forwarded to CPP-O on Feb 7 2012, I got passport request 13 months later (almost to the day) on March 10.

The passport request letter comes with an authorization form that the applicant can fill and sign so someone can deliver and/or pick up the passport on their behalf. I guess you could mail your passport to a friend/relative, along with the authorization letter and required docs (if any), but...
