I got the passport back on Thursday. It took exactly one month for them to process it.

I've been waiting for two weeks. Their website says it might take a month.

If any of the old members are still here: how long is the wait to submit the passport? I can't leave my baby for longer than an hour.

I never ordered my notes, so I don't know. But from what I've read on this forum, don't rely on those notes to resign from your job. Resign only after getting the passport request, unless you have the means to live for a few months without an income.

I don't always get to the point of saying "application in process". I got it a few weeks before they asked me to resend my police certificate. But some people got the passport request without the online thing ever saying anything.

It looks like everyone else on the forum is on holiday. I think it's closer to 15 months. But it depends on your file, your situation, and a whole lot of luck.

It varies a lot. Some people get it after three months, some people wait for two or three years. I've been waiting for a year and a half.

I don't think you need to do anything. Just sit tight and wait. Good luck.

They're making us jump through hoops now. I redid my medical exam in August. Today they send an email asking my husband to prove that he will reside in Canada once we get the permanent residency. He'd already sent a letter with the application explaining all this? Why are they making it harder?

So they send me an URGENT email on Friday asking if I can land by July 23rd. I respond on Friday and on Sunday. It's almost the end of the day on Tuesday now and still no reply. What is their definition of "urgent"?????

Did you get an automatic confirmation email when you sent the documents? If so, I don't think it would do anything to email them - it would just piss them off. If you didn't get a confirmation email, then I would resend the documents, and also attach a copy of the email you sent two months...

Hey Lebcan, I was wondering. We both did the medical in February and now they're telling us it expires at the end of July. That means they only extended them for 5 months. Does that make any sense? Why 5 months and not 6? Didn't other people get theirs extended for a whole year?

I just got an email from immigration asking if I can travel to Canada before July 23rd because my medical exam expires then. Holy crap! That's two weeks and a half from now. I'm IN Canada now, which would mean sending my passport to Lebanon, getting it stamped, then sending it back to Canada...
