OMG! It was MEEEEEEE! HOLY *censored word* GIRL! Excuse the profanity, but it was me and my hubby! We always used to run into you and your husband! We met on the pathway to the beach at Barcelo on a Sunday night and you were going home on the Tuesday, it was the day before the May 24 holiday and I took a photo and video of the address of the doctors office in SD for the medical. My husband told me in January that your husband texted him that he was in Toronto. OMG, I'm tripping out right now. This is a freaking small world. We keep running into each other...OMG!

My husband lives very close to San Pedro actually.

Surprisingly the wait isn't killing me yet. Maybe once I start hearing from CIC i'll be a ball of nerves. I'm very excited for this.

Out of curiosity... IF CIC were to ask for an interview, do they interview both of us?? And does that require me to be in Dominican Republic for an interview or does mine happen here in Canada?
I guess I'm just thinking about this as I read a post from someone who said they had received notice for an interview and had just 2 days to get there... I guess I'm just wondering what to expect and if in the event we both need to interview, am I going to have to just pick up and go. I'm totally willing, I only worry about getting the time from work and short notice to them. Thoughts?

My husband received his interview request via e-mail and a phone call as well to make sure he got the e-mail. This was on November 14th and his interview was on November 26th. I was not required to be there, but I couldn't stand the thought of not being there so I flew down for it- I also felt it was important to go so they could see us together as a bonafide couple, etc. Right before the interview, the Visa Officer asked to see me briefly but she did not ask me any questions at all- just looked at me while I stood there awkwardly and then she said I could go back out to the waiting area. Anyways hopefully your spouse won't have to go through the nervewracking interview process, but that was my experience with it.

we lived together in DR pretty much all of our relationship, so I hope there are no red flags that they call him in. but if they do, they do. nothing to hide. it is just a scary feeling that the future of our relationship is in the hands of these peopls!!

It was super nervewracking! I was sitting like 6 feet away from the door to the room where he was being interviewed and sitting there not being able to do anything or have control over anything was terrible!!! But he also had nothing to hide so the interview went very well. My husband was called for an interview because of his previous marriage- it had raised a red flag. We were completely expecting him to be called for an interview though, so at least we were prepared in that sense! I think it would be worse if you were expecting not to have one and then boom you get called for one!! If you've lived together almost all of your relationship I can't see that turning into an interview scenario, but you never know with those Visa Officers!!

I had a mini (OK not so mini) breakdown when we got outside after the interview. Like you said, you feel like your future is in someone else's hands and that is a horrible feeling.
