your time will come soon! the waiting times have decreased, cic is picking up their pace! I submitted our application in December and waited almost 3 months before I received anything. This second leg of waiting is the worst!2worlds1love said:Hey All,
Just need to express that waiting is KILLING ME! haha. I see in the March forum that people literally the day before me have received AOR and then there are some March applicants from earlier in the month that haven't heard a thing. I'm dying to know. I tried to vow to not look at the forums daily, but when I'm working night shifts, and I'm bored at 4am, it tends to happen. hahaha... Any advice on how to avoid my obsessive impatience?
I know exactly how you feel! The waiting is insane! I was so addicted to the forums and ecas, it got to the point where they were all I could think of. But my advice to you is keep busy.2worlds1love said:Hey All,

And like almost Clockwork... I got my AOR this morning. Whoop!! So pumped to hear just SOMETHING that means they have our package and are actually starting to look over it. They received it March 17th, 2015 and AOR came April 23rd, 2015!! So happy right now. Thank God!sb414 said:your time will come soon! the waiting times have decreased, cic is picking up their pace! fingers crossed for SD to start handing out visas quickly
Thanks for all the advice. I started looking at recipes last night cause I loved your idea of trying some Dominican dishes out. I have to say its a challenge to find a lot of particular ingredients in my town as its quite small and rural. I think i'll have to plan that my next trip to the city will be one where I scope out some ingredients for future cooking experiment endeavors. haha.LaLa320 said:I know exactly how you feel! What I did was I started making room in my closet for my husband and I made a calendar of things I want to do with him when he arrives and a list of things we need to do the first few weeks he is here. I also went shopping for him so he has a bit of a surprise when he gets here. This week I'm practicing some Dominican recipes so I can make him feel as home as possible. I'm also making a list of restaurants i want to take him too.
As for the forums and ecas. I have completely weened myself off them. I started off by checking the forums and ecas twice a day (once in the morning and once in the evening). Then I cut it down to every other day! Now I only check the forums once a day or when I see a notification from this group and my October group. As for ecas, I now only check once a week on Friday evenings. It's the only thing that's keeping me sane.
So just try to stay busy! I know it's a lot harder than it sounds, but once you start doing it, you will see the time fly by.
Oh I also started a little scrap book of when me and my husband met and the entire sponsor application process that I hope to have complete, (so i can give it to my daughter) once he lands. I add something to it everyday!
Stay positive and any time you're feeling down or antsy, (or need a forum fix) just hit us up! LOL!
Congratulations! This is great news! You're one step closer!!!!2worlds1love said:And like almost Clockwork... I got my AOR this morning. Whoop!! has anyone had the same status?? .... how they usually say when first stage is approved?

ok thank you!. i guess i will call in a few days if i dont get by mailsb414 said:so you should be receiving your SA now!
some people receive it by email and others receive in by actual mail.
If you don't receive an email (make sure to check junk mail) then unfortunetly you have to wait a few days for it to come in the mail.
I believe that if you do not receive any mail, you can call CIC and they can email you a copy.. I'm not positive though. I received my SA by email but I do know some people who had to wait the extra few days because it was mailed
