Agreed, we bought over my partners tools etc. Literally listed 'box of tools' on the goods to follow form, guy stamped it and we never had any trouble getting the items into the country.

Urgent iinfo needed re INLAND EE PR APPLICATIONS

    1) PPR still happens for inland applicants. If you are from a visa exempt country, you only send passport photos, not your passport. 2) PR card is automatically issued once you land, current processing time about 60 days 3) There are so many theories on the meaning behind status checks etc. I...

Need help/info on employment history for CEC class

What do you have to possibly prove your experience? Do you have offer letters/job descriptions/payslips/any reference letters from co-workers/emails sent to or from your work account at that time? A combination of this along with some sort of proof that the company a)existed at some point and...

Is flagpoling a refused/denied entry to US?

If it helps, I answered yes and wrote a letter to explain that it was for two flagpoles to renew my work permit. Approved PR, no questions asked.

    Spelling mistake in experience letter

If you aren't gaining points, remove it from your work history and only mention in your personal history. This removes the requirement for the letter entirely.

Incomplete/Incorrect information in profile - ITA Received

You simply don't have two full years of Canadian work experience, no matter how you spin it. If you change your profile and recalculate your points, are you still above the cut off for your draw? If so, continue. If not, decline and amend your EE profile and wait for the next draw.

Updating info in EE profile - why points are not changed?

To be brutally honest, submitting an error free application in one day is unrealistic.

Updating info in EE profile - why points are not changed?

Wait 24 hours, it will update. Note that receiving an ITA will not give you grounds for a work permit. You need to have submitted the full PR application and received your AOR for that.

Any PRs from visa exempt countries - were you asked for PR card when flying?

Apart from every single example so far. There are cases of people not having their PR card with them and being told at check-in that they cannot board. It is not PR status that allows you to board your flight, it is the physical card.

Removing conditions from my open work permit

You can work in health and teaching on an open permit as long as you are suitably qualified. Those conditions also cover places like daycares etc, you need the medical to work in those industries.

Any PRs from visa exempt countries - were you asked for PR card when flying?

I didn't say printed. They can see if you have an ETA in their system. If you don't have one, they will ask for something else.

Missing information in EE profile, decline ITA???

No it isnt. If they knowingly didnt add it before submitting their PR application, then yes it could be misrepresentation. If they adjust it post-ITA they are fine.

Any PRs from visa exempt countries - were you asked for PR card when flying?

Correct. If you don't have an ETA, they ask for another form of document to prove travel. They may not specifically say 'show me your PR card' but they will ask to sight whatever document you have to prove you can travel. You won't get past check-in without them requesting whatever travel...

Any PRs from visa exempt countries - were you asked for PR card when flying?

I'm confused now. So you are saying that if you try to check in without an ETA, but not mentioning that you are PR to see if the airline will just let you on without any further questions?

Any PRs from visa exempt countries - were you asked for PR card when flying?

Ok, I've checked my own ETA status online: Following an assessment of your file, it has been determined that you no longer meet the requirements for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). As a result, your eTA has been cancelled. Your file is now closed. Should you wish to reapply for an...

Missing information in EE profile, decline ITA???

You are fine. You got the ITA based on the software experience, as long as he can prove that, you have no issue. The only issue that might come up is if you claimed full time work for the software company at the same time as full time for the construction company. This is just not possible...

Any PRs from visa exempt countries - were you asked for PR card when flying?

Both times I needed to produce a document after they were checking in the system for a while. I got the vibe that unless I was able to produce the PR card there was going to be an issue. As for my friend stuck in the states, she HAD a valid ETA but not anymore now that she is PR. They did...
