i hope it is a mistake. otherwise, it means he got rejected. same thing happened to me before. they sent me back my application in late 2014 in regular mail with a rejection letter.

the rejection here wasn't about medicals. it was about his wife not declaring a rejected visitor visa. I am worried that in my notes they said that i studied in canada under a grant and i have to return to my home country. which is not true.

You are better off asking that to the QSW thread as you can compare ur situation with similar applicants and project when will u receive ur MR. And no. They won't extend ur stay because ur pr is being processed in ottawa. They only do that if u r on a work visa.
