***APRIL 2017***SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE OF CANADA

Still a few days away, probably. The last person to receive AOR seems to be 3/27. I'm 3/28 and crossing my fingers for mine today or tomorrow :)

    MARCH 2017 *OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANT*

This is normal. Most people on the spreadsheet have received their AOR in about 10 weekdays. It has only been 7 weekdays since March 31. My application was received on March 28th and I have not gotten AOR yet. Patience :)

    MARCH 2017 *OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANT*

Still bracing myself for my application to be returned, but praying and hoping to receive AOR today or tomorrow. According to the spreadsheet, two folks whose application arrived the day before mine received their AOR yesterday. I've been checking the mail every day and still no application...

March 7, 2017 spousal applicant | CPC saying they don't have app

They do not enter your application into the system if it's being returned, it would just be like you had nothing on file.

What order are apps processed in?

Okay... so who would you call the person who goes through each file and confirms all the forms are there to give the AOR, if not an officer? How is what I said incorrect? My point is that it's not like there's only one single person who proceesses the applications in order to do them exactly in...

What order are apps processed in?

There are obviously many officers who are respnosible for processing the applications, and some officers may be faster than others, so depending which officer receives your application to process, you could receive your AOR before or after other people who applied around the same time as you.

***APRIL 2017***SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE OF CANADA

Unfortunately based on what I've read on this forum, sending it to the PO Box and telling Canada Post to require a signature can cause delivery problems. I'm not able to provide any further info besides that - I've just read stories on here relating to it. Maybe someone else can chime in w/...

CIC requesting Police clerance certificate and medical again

Medicals are only good for 1 year, so if your medical was done in April of 2016, it will be expiring in April 2017 (this month). After you are approved and receive your COPR, the expiration date on that document (the date you must land by) is the date which your medical exam expires (or the date...

Yes, I was just reading about this today. If you have a representative, only they can link it to MyCIC. You will have access to ECAS only.

    Common Law Sponsorship

Only the sponsor's eligibility is assessed during the first stage. That's why when you hear back, it's referred to as "sponsor approval". They are simply checking to make sure the sponsor is eligible to sponsor someone into Canada and no more. That is why it takes such a short time (typically...

***APRIL 2017***SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE OF CANADA

If you send it "signature required" through Canada Post, you have to send it to the mailing address for couriers, which is a different address. What address did you send to? That could be the problem.

    Medical Exam in Alberta

I'm not sure about the insurance question, but I believe it's up to each medical exam provider to decide what they charge. If you want to know how much it will be, you can find a panel physician using the locator on the CIC site and then call their office and ask what fee they charge. Some...

Nope. To put it simply: outland applications, you can be inside or outside Canada; inland applications, you must be inside Canada.
