Are apps processed on a first come first serve basis? Just asking because I have seen a few apps who applied after me receive aor
There are obviously many officers who are respnosible for processing the applications, and some officers may be faster than others, so depending which officer receives your application to process, you could receive your AOR before or after other people who applied around the same time as you.jeff198901 said:Are apps processed on a first come first serve basis? AOR only means they've acknowledged there is a case. That all the requisite forms and proofs are submitted. An officer evaluates much later...viva-c said:There are obviously many officers who are respnosible for processing the applications, and some officers may be faster than others, so depending which officer receives your application to process, you could receive your AOR before or after other people who applied around the same time as you.
Okay... so who would you call the person who goes through each file and confirms all the forms are there to give the AOR, if not an officer? How is what I said incorrect?profiler said:AOR only means they've acknowledged there is a case. That all the requisite forms and proofs are submitted. An officer evaluates much later...
It's better to focus on whether you're on the correct timeline for what the average application should be processed at. Comparing yourself to other applicants, especially prior to being transferred to your VO, will just frustrate you. It's hard not to do so but in the end it doesn't make that much of a difference what happens at Missisauga as long as your application gets to where it needs to go in the appropriate timeline.jeff198901 said:I am only wondering because people who have had apps get accepted at later dates than mine have gotten aor. So I am just wondering if there is any specific order!
I have only waited 8 business days, I was just curious because I noticed someone got aor who has waited only 6 business daysdanawhitaker said:It's better to focus on whether you're on the correct timeline for what the average application should be processed at. The TLDR: There really doesn't seem to be a specific order. Things get farmed out to whoever processes files and then I assume they work through their queues. It's hard to know how those files are assigned.
Yeah. We noticed weird stuff like that happening back when we applied as well. I think sometimes they're testing stuff and they pull applications for certain VOs or something. In our case, it was almost all UK applicants getting shuttled along quickly for whatever reason. It seemed almost like they were getting plucked from the mailroom. But even though some of them got AOR more quickly than I did even though they applied after me, I ended up with DM before they did.jeff198901 said:I have only waited 8 business days, I was just curious because I noticed someone got aor who has waited only 6 business days
It worries me a tad but I guess that's all part of the process lol. I'm anxious to get aor and seeing others get it before me is frustrating loldanawhitaker said:Yeah.
