How long after IRCC confirm receipt of your common law sponsorship application do you find out if you passed the sponsorship eligibility assessment and what will come after that?

How long after IRCC confirm receipt of your common law sponsorship application do you find out if you passed the sponsorship eligibility assessment and what will come after that?

Please refer to the spreadsheet link in my signature line. This tracks individual cases for people that volunteer their spousal sponsorship information - weeks not months normally.

What happens after sponsor approval is that they will request medical, schedule A etc. then after that send it on to the visa office of their choice (normally the one that deals with your nationality).

Thank you for your reply, I should have stated that I am British applying through the Inland Canada route and not the Outland Canada.

I've always wondered for the first stage approval is that assessing the sponsors and applicants information and then for second stage approval is that assessing the relationship evidence? Or is the relationship evidence assessed for first stage approval too? & Medical and Security checks are second ?

Only the sponsor's eligibility is assessed during the first stage. That's why when you hear back, it's referred to as "sponsor approval". They are simply checking to make sure the sponsor is eligible to sponsor someone into Canada and no more. That is why it takes such a short time (typically only a week or two after you receive your AOR, at least for outland applications). After that, which is the longest time period, is when the relationship and the principal applicant themselves are approved.

Okay perfect so after I recieve notification that my application has been received it's usually around less than a month for the sponsor assessment? Then how long does it usually take for the relationship evidence and applicant to be assessed?
