    Proof of Relationship to Sponsor...

Yes, I agree - the issue may be that you're applying inland, not outland. On the outland application, there are six categories from which you can choose to provide proof of your relationship. I haven't seen the inland application, but it sounds like they expect you to be living together if...

Landing Without Crossing or flag pol for Outland applicant

Yes, if you and your spouse are already in Canada, you can make an appointment at the CIC to land without leaving the country. It doesn't matter if you applied outland or inland. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=748&top=22

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Many of these people who did theirs upfront had them done before December, when the application changed and they got rid of the upfront medicals. With that being the case, it does make sense to include it in your application if you already had it done, but it does not make sense to do it upfront...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

This is not correct. You can stay with your spouse in Canada as a visitor and still apply outland via your home country. This is, by far, the best way to do it if you do not care about the work permit.

If you received AOR that means they will not be returning your application to you :)

Principal applicant mailing address different than residential address?

I overnighted the Use of a Representative form to them today. Fingers crossed it joins my application.

    Canadian Daughter

Your best option is to either get married so that you can apply for sponsorship right away, or wait until you have lived together for 1 year and apply for sponsorship via common law. Getting legal status via a job offer is next to impossible.

PR Spousal Sponsorship under Family Class - Use of IMM5562E

That form is only mandatory for certain countries. You should use the checklist/form generator on the CIC website to see what country-specific requirements apply to your spouse. If that form is required, it will display on the list. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/

    Pregnant as a temporary resident

Wow - Alberta's health care must be very generous. I know in Ontario, the birth is not covered if you do not have health care. Me and my husband have been extra careful not to get pregnant knowing that my prenatal care and the birth itself will not be covered until I get my PR and health care.

    MARCH 2017 *OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANT*

I am staying in Canada with my husband as a visitor, but technically I am still a U.S. resident. So for the part of the application where you put your mailing and residential addresses, we put my U.S. address as my residential address and his Canadian address as my mailing address. As you can...

Coming back into Canada after visitor status expired

Congratulations! The COPR is all she needs to officially land as an immigrant in Canada. She will not receive her PR card until she lands. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/arrival.asp

    Translated birth certificate - rejected

It sounds like maybe you only submitted a regular photocopy of your birth certificate, and they are now asking you to submit a certified copy instead. You can visit this link to see what qualifies as a certified copy and make sure that your translation is properly certified as well...

Coming back into Canada after visitor status expired

It is my understanding that if you have an application in for an extension and you leave the country before a decision has been made, your application is automatically cancelled. You have to stay in Canada until you get the extension. I have learned this from reading the forums, though, and have...

    MARCH 2017 *OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANT*

A quick update after yesterday's freak-out. I heard from someone else on the forum who forgot to include a form in their application and was told by CIC to mail it in and hope (no guarantee) that it could be attached to their file before it was processed. Not sure what their outcome was. So...

Principal applicant mailing address different than residential address?

I mailed in my application this morning and just my luck, saw a post this afternoon about people getting their applications sent back if the principal applicants mailing address was listed in canada when their residential address is in another country, saying a Use of a Representative form is...

    Application sent back

No, I don't believe you should include the letter. If your application is returned to you, there is no record of it in their system. When you mail it back in, it will be like you are applying for the very first time. So you should just include what they need and don't include their original...

    MARCH 2017 *OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANT*

I submitted the old application package in January and it was sent back to me because I made a mistake. Finally finished the new application package and mailed it in today! Hoping and praying to receive that AOR in a couple of weeks. I will be so upset if it gets mailed back again. Reading this...
