No probs :) Sounds fairly straightforward. Being undocumented won't have any impact on the application, just be sure to be honest about everything with them. You probably already know, but just in case, make sure you submit both the NY state police check AND your FBI clearance, as it will delay...

Glad you found us early on in your process, hopefully we can be of some help and maybe make your journey a little bit smoother and even a little bit faster :) Feel free to ask any questions or voice any concerns and we'll do our best to help you! Fingers crossed! With ours, they sent out the extension request to Ottawa at the same time they issued the PPR, but we didn't have ARC to deal with, so not sure if/how that might affect your process. At least there's still time to extend them, so hopefully they wrap things up quickly!

They extended them. Took about 8 weeks to get approval from Ottawa, hopefully they've sped that up by now. Depends on when they finalize your case though...they can only extend meds within 15 months of the original exam date.

Yup, we went to in process I think about 2 weeks before PPR was issued. In terms of the notes, it happened after the sr officer declared our application approved and issued the order to renew meds and request new PC. If we hadn't had to wait on that meds renewal, my husband would've landed about...

Well first off...CONGRATS on a successful interview! Take some time to enjoy that and the fact it means you guys are soooo near the end! Keep coming back to that thought whenever you get discouraged! You passed the biggest hurdle: they WILL approve you...no more if's, just WHEN! Celebrate that...

Email sent to CPPO to Locate Med Results

It's possible that your med results were not entered into the system when you originally applied or for some other reason are not showing up on the VO's end, so they've sent an email to Ottawa to confirm/enter the results. I wouldn't call it "normal", but it's not unheard of and isn't cause for...

Congrats!!!! In process is always a good sign from POS! As others said, keep an eye out for some form of communication from them, you're one step closer to putting this all behind you ;D

No probs. Yeah, they're majorly inconsistent across the board. Reading clips from other people's notes I've seen some very professional-looking, well documented, on point. Others looked like they were written by a trained kangaroo

Yeah... a 3 yr age difference hardly seems reason for concern! You can never really tell with those people...best bet is to keep ordering your notes and look out for that sr officer's comments. Those will be definitive - interview or no.

Port of Spain Office, Trinidad and Tobago

They sometimes say "recommend interview be waived" or "relationship appears genuine" or "additional review required" or "recommend interview" or something to that effect...usually (mine said "relationship appears genuine and ongoing, case sent for review", then sr officer's note said...

The general process is - jr officer reviews file and makes detailed notes, these notes end in either "relationship appears genuine, no interview needed, no concerns" or "[list of concerns], recommend for interview or additional review required". The senior officer then reviews the file notes -...

Hard to say, POS is a bit all over the map these days. It could be the case, in which case you'd hear something pretty soon cause once they make the decision to waive the interview, they generally move pretty quickly (assuming the background checks have come through). On the other hand, a senior...

Hi Relica, Unfortunately I'm not super up to date on the parent-child sponsorship, so I can't fully answer your question. Maybe send a CSE (case specific enquiry) to POS to ask them for possible timelines? You could also check the posted processing times on the CIC website and use that to...

Awesome! It sucks that POS doesn't go to "in process" early on but the upside is that once they do, you know you're really near the end and can almost start celebrating! People typically receive correspondence within a few weeks of the change to "in process" so keep your phones close, keep an...

Hahahaha glad I'm not the only one! I was trying to get them to see that the phone marriage would be the lesser of CIC's concerns next to the marriage to a "relative", but people were getting all defensive, so I figured leave well alone! I'm doing pretty well, always extra happy on a Friday...

No probs! Just know you're super close to end. Hang in there just a little bit longer and it'll all be over soon. The day you're reunited, the stress of all this will just fade away!
